Watford manager Slavisa Jokanovic and Nigeria-born Scottish striker, Ikechi Anya have heaped plaudits on Odion Ighalo whose 83rd minute goal fetched Watford all three points at the weekend against Blackburn Rovers.
First to hail the Nigerian after the game was Jokanovic who described Ighalo as a true professional.
“He(Ighalo) is a quality player who works very hard. Since I arrived sometimes I use him or sometimes I don’t.
“However I use him, whether it is ten minutes, bringing him on at half time or starting him he always works like a professional, an adult man.” Jokanovic said.
Anya on his part described Ighalo as brilliant.
“Ighalo’s been brilliant all through the season, but now people are starting to realise just how good he is, so I’m really happy for him.”
