Watford have been linked with a move for Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze as concerns grow about Abdoulaye Doucoure’s long-term future.
The Daily Mail claim Watford have expressed an interest in the 24-year-old former Valenciennes player, who has thrived under Nice boss Patrick Vieira this season.
The report claims Watford are looking for another enforcer type for their engine room as rumours continue to circulate around Doucoure, who Hornets officials know wants to play Champions League football.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are understood to have opened discussions over a deal for Doucoure but are still short of Watford’s £45million valuation.
Nice have Tameze under contract until June 2021 so can demand a big fee themselves and will not want to let him go midway through a campaign.
Huddersfield Town’s Philip Billing is also said to be on the Hornets’ radar – as is Szymon Zurkowski from Gornick Zabrze – according to the report.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
