Burnley look set to loan out striker Nahki Wells, with Championship whipping boys QPR keen to do a deal. Championship clubs have until the end of the month to snap up players on loan and following a disastrous start to the season, the R’s are desperate to get new players in.
QPR chairman Amit Bhatia has taken to twitter to reassure fans that everything possible is being done to sign new players, and Wells is said to be one of the players on his wanted list.
Wells is unlikely to get much action with the Clarets this season, and a loan deal, which could lead to a permanent move, could suit all parties. He has also been heavily linked with Bolton Wanderers.
“We continue to have every intention to add to our squad before the end of the window,” Bhatia said. “Unfortunately we can’t exclusively control the pace at which deals are done, hard work continues behind the scenes.”
QPR were hammered 7-1 at West Brom at the weekend and followed that up with a 3-0 home loss against Bristol City last night.
