Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be available for Saturday's Premier League London derby against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Giroud was substituted early in Arsenal's 2-1 home loss against Watford with a knock and Oxlade-Chamberlain who replaced Aaron Ramsey sustained a slight injury, while Welbeck was rested for the midweek game.
Speaking at Friday's pre-match press conference, Wenger disclosed that Ramsey will be out for 21 days but expressed confidence that there are capable replacements for the Welsh midfielder.
"We lose Ramsey and Giroud has a test, he should be alright," Wenger said.
“Maybe Welbeck will come back into the group.
“Chamberlain has a test today but I think he will be alright.
" I would say 21 days,” when asked how long Ramsey will be out.
“We have good players in there.
“Adelaide, Maitland-Niles, Chamberlain can play in there.”
Wenger stated that Arsenal's 3-0 home win against Chelsea early in the season could have played a part in their recent good form.
"Maybe for them it was a little bit of a wake-up call.
“Conte managed to change things.”
The French coach praised N'Golo Kante for his impact for Chelsea this season.
" I believe Kante has had a huge impact," Wenger added.
“It’s no coincidence Chelsea are where they are and Leicester did what they did last season.”
And commenting on Frank Lampard who announced his retirement for active football, Wenger said: "He is amongst the top, top, top.
“He was a huge player and the consistency through the years was unbelievable.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
