Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has warned his players to be wary of the threat that will be posed by Watford skipper Troy Deeney.
Wenger also hinted that Spain-based duo Shkodran Mustafi and … Perez are almost certain to join Arsenal soon.
The Gunners will hope to secure their first win of the new campaign when they travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford.
Arsenal won both fixtures last season with their only defeat to the Hornets coming in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Wenger also stated that there will be no changes to his squad that faced Leicester last weekend.
"I rate him (Deeney) he has technical quality and is a fighter, to find these two together is difficult. Impressed last year.
“Basically we have the same squad available as last week.”
Following reports that Arsenal are on the verge of signing Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi Wenger said he is confident of adding to his squad.
“We are working on the deals, but we are not close enough to announce today," Wenger said.
“Will we sign anyone before the window closes? I’m 99 per cent confident.”
Commenting on Arsenal's UEFA Champions League draw, which pitted Arsenal in Group A with PSG, Basel and Ludogorets, Wenger says the target of his team is to finish top of the group.
“Basically we got what we were expected,” he said.
“Maybe PSG is the favourite but we want to finish first.
“It is a good test for us to play PSG. Let’s hope we can get a good first result. They have hit headlines in transfer market.”
He however stated that they will face Basel and Ludogorets with caution.
“Ludogorets we do not know a lot about them.
“Look at Basle’s record against English teams and you become cautious.”
On the English Football League Cup which pairs Arsenal against Nottingham Forest, Wenger said: “We want to do well because we have a big squad, always play with younger players and will integrate again.”
On whether Joel Campbell still has a future at Arsenal, Wenger said: “I believe that he has been a victim of the size of the squad. At an age where he needs to play, don’t rule out he comes back.”
