Wenger Denies Dybala Bid

Arsene Wenger is playing mind games over his interest in Paulo Dybala, according to reports in Italy.

Wenger yesterday denied that Arsenal had any interest in the Palermo striker.
It has previously been claimed that Arsenal had offered the Serie A outfit £30m for the Argentine ace.

But when quizzed about the offer at a press conference this morning, Wenger responded: “Ask him [Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini] to show you the offer.”

Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in Dybala, with Palermo resigned to the fact that he will leave in the summer.

But Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio insists that Wenger is merely being ‘diplomatic’ in his approach to Dybala.

According to Di Marzio, Gunners shareholder Alisher Usmanov did make contact with Zamparini in recent days.

Earlier this week Zamparini said: “I’ve received concrete offers for Dybala.

“Juventus? Yes, they could take him. I’m in contact with [Juventus general manager Giuseppe] Marotta, I know they’re interested, but they must hurry, there are other teams after him.
