Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that he will present a more experienced line-up against Swedish club Ostersunds because he has the ambition of winning this season’s UEFA Europa League.
The Gunners will be guests to Ostersunds in the first leg, round 32 of the Europa League on Thursday.
During the group stage, Wenger put out a mixture of youth and experience which saw them finish top of Group H.
In the Premier League table, Arsenal are currently sixth on 45 points, eight points adrift of fourth position.
Speaking in his press conference on Wednesday ahead of the game against Ostersunds, Wenger said: “We go into direct knockout so of course the risk is higher. We are ambitious in the competition as well. So, yes, we are more experienced than we were before.”
Wenger however ruled out Jack Wilshere, Laurent Koscielny, Petr Cech and Aaron Ramsey for the trip to Sweden.
