Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Petr Cech, Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez will all return in their Saturday's trip to struggling Swansea.
Cech and Sanchez were rested in Arsenal's FA Cup win against Preston North End on Saturday.
Koscielny was substituted in the 3-3 away draw with Bournemouth, while Ozil missed the Gunners' last three games due to illness.
Wenger also reveals that Walcott is still two weeks away from making a return.
“Koscielny is coming back, Cech, Ozil and Sanchez all back," Wenger states during his press conference on Friday.
“Bellerin is still out as is Coquelin, but they are not far.
“Walcott was out for three-and-a-half weeks. He will not be available for Burnley.
“He was not comfortable when he started to train, but I am not concerned. I think two weeks (Walcott's return date).”
Wenger would also stated that it is important to resolve the contract of some of the senior players in the squad after Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin all signed contract extensions.
He expresses confidence that the contract issue concerning Ozil and Sanchez will soon be resolved.
“It is important that we have stability in our squad (on Giroud, Koscielny, Coquelin contract extensions) and they are part of that. We are in the process with others,” Wenger says.
“I think he (on Ozil waiting to know what Wenger's future will be at Arsenal) has been a bit misinterpreted. I don’t think that is the main part of his decision.
“We always speak, I speak more with his agent on the contract than with him.
“Let’s not forget all these players have 18 months to go, that is a long time in football. I’m very relaxed”
On reports about Ozil and Sanchez's wage demands, Wenger states:“We have to keep that as quiet as possible and find an agreement.
“We have to respect our line of conduct that we always have.”
And on Giroud's new found form, reports about Arsenal's interest on Torino's striker Andrea Belotti and Carl Jenkinson's move in the January transfer window, Wenger offers: “Giroud has accepted the challenge of not being automatically selected and responded in the right way.
“That’s what today you call fake news (Belotti's reported move to Arsenal)."
“It is a possibility he (Jenkinson)will move, yes.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
