Wenger Confident Arsenal Can Win EPL, Targets New Players

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger is adamant his side can end their wait for a first Premier League title at the end of the current campaign, insisting his players are now matured enough to handle the pressure of challenging for the top prize.

The North London side have been forced to watch from  the sidelines as  the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester City won the title in recent years.

The Gunners sit at the top of the log at the half way stage of the campaign, but many have cast doubts on their ability to sustain a title challenge.

Wenger however believes his side  can weather the storm and emerge champion in May.

"You cannot say we have no chance after 19 games, we have a chance," the Frenchman said in his Wednesday's  pre-match conference ahead of the game against Newcastle United.

"We are mature and the most important thing is at the end of the season to know we 've given everything.

"If is a team is better than us then fair enough. But we must give everything."

The former Monaco gaffer also indicated that the club will bring in a couple of new faces during the January transfer window.

"I've already said we are a bit short. We will be busy.

  • this is no time for talk talk.  yes Arsenal can take the league but it needs some busy(ness) in the mrk as they are over relying on only one set of players without rest and champion league is at the corner. This champion league wahala is what Leicester is not involved in and that is why I bet on them to be the most likely team to run away with the title. They will bebusy too in the mrk if they know what they are doing. their owner(s) is the 6th richest epl club owner worth £1.4billion. Man City are behind with Tottemham hotly brhind. The league is already upside down with no one sure of the next match. Plenty of money now and so big buys when the window opens. France and Holland is where good buys could be made. So Prof, solfly solfly take.
