Wenger To Field Strong Team Vs Hull, Rules Out Cech, Paulista

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated that his side will have to be at their best against Hull City in Saturday's FA Cup tie at the Emirates.

Arsenal will be meeting Hull for the third year running in the FA Cup.

In 2014, the Gunners beat Hull 3-2 in the final before seeing them off 2-0 in one of the rounds last year.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of Saturday clash, Wenger said he will field a strong side for the match.

"We play them every year in the Emirates FA Cup. We will need a top level performance," he said.

"We know them well and they are in a strong position in the Championship. We will play a strong side. A normal side."

Wenger ruled out Gabriel Paulista and Petr Cech but said Laurent Koscielny and David Ospina will be available.

He also hinted that Mohammed Elneny could feature while Jack Wilshere still remains sidelined.

Wenger added: "Koscielny is available. He has a test today. Paulista is still out.

"Paulista will need another week. Jack Wilshere will be back in three or four weeks.

"Ospina plays in the FA Cup. Cech potentially won't be involved tomorrow. Elneny has a good chance to play tomorrow. He is ready and his fighting for a regular place."

On Danny Welbeck's return from injury, and his chance of playing against Hull, Wenger said:"I think he (Welbeck) became a stronger man after what happened. He is back to his best.

"I haven't completely decided yet (on Welbeck playing)."

He also reacted to claims by Mathieu Debuchy that he stopped his move to Manchester United.

"I hope that is not surprising to you. You loan players to clubs who don't have resources, not direct rivals."
