Ahead Villa Clash
By James Agberebi:
West Bromwich Albion will hope strike duo Brown Ideye and Saido Berahino will be fit to face relegation threatened Aston Villa at the Villa Park on Tuesday.
Both Berahino and Ideye limped off in the Baggies’ 1-0 win against Southampton with suspected foot and knee injury respectively.
Speaking after the game, West Brom’s head coach Tony Pulis who reserved special praise for Berahino following his wonderful strike which sealed the win for his team, told wba.co.uk that both players will be assessed to know the extent of their various injuries ahead of the midweek clash.
“It was a wonderful strike, a wonderful goal – there is no question of his talent.
“And in the last few weeks he’s brought into what we want to do when we don’t have the ball. He worked so hard for us.
“He’s the icing on the cake – the little bit of quality every team needs.
“He was carrying an injury and hadn’t trained all week. He needed an injection and Brownie had an injection too. We will see how everyone is tomorrow.”
