West Ham Boss Rules Moses Out of FA Cup Match

West Ham Boss Rules Moses Out of FA Cup Match

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that Super Eagles forward Victor Moses will play no part in West Ham United's 3rd Round FA clash against Carl Ikeme's Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Bilic on Thursday gave an update on the state of his players' injuries during his press conference monitored by Completesportsnigeria.com ahead of the FA Cup commitment.

“Victor Moses is not far away, he is working on his own now, but should join the full training after the Cup game. Dimitri Payet is back, it is only a matter of his fitness. Winston Reid is also back. He’s been training with us the last two days ,”‎ Bilic said.

Manuel Lanzini is out for a minimum two to three weeks according to the West Ham manager.

“Lanzini suffered the same injury as before, hopefully it will only be a few weeks, We all want him back as soon as possible, he orchestrated the game against Liverpool. It looks like 2/3 weeks.”

Although he didn’t mention Sakho but at last week’s pre match conference Bilic said “If we are lucky Sakho will be back early February”

Meanwhile, Bilic insists West Ham will not sell Andy Carroll amid interest from Newcastle and Sunderland

Carroll, the Hammers' record signing, has been linked with a return to his native north east.

Newcastle have been tipped to make a move to re-sign the 27-year-old, while former Upton Park boss Sam Allardyce is understood to be keen to take him to Sunderland.

Reports in the English press have suggested West Ham could sell Carroll for the right price given his woeful injury record in recent seasons.

But Bilic during the press conference dismissed suggestions the former England striker will be on the move this month.

"The club are not willing to listen to offers. We want Andy to stay and perform like he does in most games.

"Nobody at the club wants to sell him, he's a very good player. But whenever he scores a couple of goals the rumours start.

"The only way he can stop the rumours is to play badly, which we don't want him to do.

"We don't want to sell him. He's very good in the dressing room and I know he's happy here," the Croatian coach disclosed.
