West Ham have joined the race to sign Nigeria and Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho as they attempt to add pace to their squad.
Iheanacho has been the subject of a transfer from City in the summer after falling behind Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in the Citizens' striking role.
On Thursday, The Sun reported that Everton want to replace Romelu Lukaku with Iheanacho and are ready to part with £20m for his services.
According to standard.co.uk, West Ham are prioritising attacking players this summer and aside from Iheanacho, they are also weighing up a move for Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi and retain an interest in Jermain Defoe, who they tried to sign for £6million in January.
Also Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are reported to be interested in Iheanacho, with the added incentive of being able to offer Champions League football.
Iheanacho is under contract until 2021 but City are prepared to listen to offers to help finance their spending plans for the summer.
He has scored four goals and made three assists in 19 league appearances, despite completing only one full game.
Under Manuel Pellegrini Iheanacho had one of his best periods at City as he scored 14 goals in 35 games.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
