Issa Diop has already established himself as a West Ham regular but the summer arrival says he is still adapting to the Premier League. Diop made the move to West Ham from Toulouse in a club-record deal, with the East Londoners forking out a reported £22million to snare the 21-year-old.
The centre-half has impressed in the opening weeks of the season and has started every Premier League match since making his debut at Arsenal at the end of August.
Diop is satisfied with his displays so far, but expects to improve further and says he is still getting used to the demands of English football.
“It is good my confidence – we’ve come up against Olivier Giroud for Chelsea last week and [Manchester United’s] Romelu Lukaku this,” he said. “I think I’ve played a normal game and I need to improve and work hard to play better.
“I need to adapt [to the Premier League], but in football you don’t have the time so you need to learn quickly and play well from the first day. I needed to be ready from the start.
“The Premier League is faster and it is box-to-box. In France, the teams don’t go full in the attack, but here all the strikers, the wingers are strong, physical and quick. It’s not that easy to defend against.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
