FORMER Super Eagles player and La Liga Ambassador in Nigeria Mutiu Adepoju has restated why the Spanish League picked Complete Sports newspaper as a media partner.
The former Racing Santander and Real Sociedad midfielder made the clarification during a recent visit to our head office in Lagos during which he presented an official La Liga football to Complete Sports group managing director, Alhaji Mumini Alao.
“It is a well known fact that Complete Sports is the first and most authoritative sports newspaper in Nigeria,” began Adepoju popularly known as “Headmaster.”
“And if you talk about online presence, Complete Sports website again is the leading sports website in Nigeria which can be verified even by La Liga chiefs in Spain.
“We were looking for a newspaper with a strong brand and loyal readership and we found these attributes in Complete Sports. It was not difficult to reach a decision,” he said.
Adepoju was accompanied on the visit by Javier Del Rio, La Liga Country Manager in Nigeria who confirmed that the partnership with Complete Sports is targeted at Nigerian soccer fans.
“La Liga has been scaling up its involvement with Nigerian football in recent years and this is just another step in the relationship. We are confident Complete Sports offers a platform that is mutually beneficial and the fans will see evidence of this in the months ahead,” Del Rio promised.
Alhaji Alao couldn’t hide his delight on receiving the official football from the La Liga representatives. “We are happy that you picked Complete Sports as your official partner,” he said. “We will put all our print, digital and audio-visual assets at your disposal to help propel the La Liga brand,” he promised.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
