The pair (Adigun and Omeoga), making their official debut at the Winter Olympics, improved on their timing from the official training heats despite finishing bottom in the standings in heat 1 and 2 respectively.
The pair finished with a time of 52.21second in Heat 1 and 52.55 in Heat 2 as against the time of 52.96 and 53.60 seconds recorded in Sunday’s training Heats 3 and 4.
Elana Taylor and Lauren Gibbs came first with a time of 50.52 in Heat 1 while the pair of Mariana Jamaka and Lisa Buckwitz from Germany came second with a time of 50.54.
Jamie Poser and Aja Evans from USA came third with a 50.59 seconds.
In Heat 2, Mariana Jamaka and Lisa Buckwitz from Germany topped with a time of 50.72.Elana Taylor and Lauren Gibbs came second with a time of 50.81
Kallie Humphries and Phylicia George from Canada came third with a time of 50.88.
The Nigerian duo will take part in Heats 3 and 4 on Wednesday.
