Wolves Coach Takes Positives From Losing League Title

By Adeboye Amosu:

Warri Wolves coach, Paul Aigbogun says the club can take delight from their spirited showing  against Enyimba  despite losing the title to the hosts of Sunday's decider in Aba, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Seasiders  were held to a barren draw by Enyimba on Sunday at the Enyimba Sports Stadium, putting an end to their aspiration of winning their first Glo Premier League title.

Wolves went into the game needing to secure maximum points,  but couldn't get  past a resolute Enyimba side that was determined to win a seventh title.

Aigbogun  though admitted he was disappointment with the result of the game, but was imppressed with the way they battled Kadiri Ikhana's charges throughout  the game.

"It's disappointing that we couldn't beat them (Enyimba) at home, but we can take  a lot of positives from our performance in the game," Igbogun told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We gave our best to stop them from winning the title, but unfortunately they got a point which was good for them.

"We proved with our performance  what we are capable of and we hope to come back stronger next seasaon," Aigbogun said.

Warri Wolves who are now  joint  second on the log with Giwa Fc  must now regroup ahead of this weekend's home clash against Taraba United.

A second place finish will see them compete in the 2016 edition of  CAF Champions League alongside Enyimba.
