Wolves are said to be chasing free agent Miguel Veloso after the Jorge Mendes client left Italian side Genoa. The 32-year-old is on the lookout for a new home after his second stint with the Serie A outfit came to an end during the summer and Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been linked due to their strong Portuguese connection.
Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho joined the Iberian playing contingent of Helder Costa, Ruben Neves, Ruben Vinagre and Diogo Jota at Molineux during the transfer window, thanks in part to the club’s connection to super agent Mendes.
Veloso is another player on the books of Mendes’ agency and that reportedly gives them the edge over Everton, who are also believed to be keen on adding the experienced midfielder.
The former Sporting and Dynamo Kiev midfielder, who has 56 caps for Portugal to his name, has shown in recent years he can also operate in defence and could prove to be a valuable addition to the Wolves squad.
