Wolves Seek Release of Salami, Egwuekwe From Eagles Camp

 Warri Wolves are hopeful their players who are on national duty will be released for next week's CAF Confederation Cup second leg, play-off against Congolese outfit, AS Leopards.

The Paul Aigbogun side will seek to overturn a three-goal deficit when they entertain Leopards on Saturday, June 6 at the Warri City Stadium.

Five of their regular starters Daniel Akpeyi,Solomon Kwambe, Azubuike Egwueke, Micheal Egbeta and Gbolahan Salami are currently in the Super Eagles camp preparing for 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier next month against Chad.

Media Officer of the club, Moses Etu, confirmed to completesportsnigeria.com that the club will contact the Nigeria Football Federation and the Super Eagles technical crew led by Stephen Keshi to ensure the players are available for the all important game.

''Our preparation for the game is going on fine but it is important we have our players who are in the Super Eagles camp available to help turn things around.

''We have five key players in the Super Eagles camp and their availability will be vital for us.

''We are going to approach the NFF and the coaching crew for the release of the players and we believe they will duly obliged us,'' Etu said to completesportsnigeria.com.

The Seasiders are the only Nigerian club left on the continent following the early exits of Kano Pillars, Enyimba and Dolphins.
