Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach, Kenny Jackett, has said that the club is keen to extend Nigeria goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme's stay as he heads into the final year of his contract with the club.
Speaking via the club's official website, Jackett says Wolves are also poised for talks with defender and captain, Danny Batth, and midfielder Dave Edwards – who have 12 months remaining of their existing deals.
“Now we are all back there will be discussions,” says Jackett.
“Jez (Moxey) will be speaking to all three players.
“They are players we are keen to keep and those three are very established at the club.
“They all have futures at the club, definitely.”
Ikeme, who turned 30 this summer, came through the Academy ranks at Wolves and has firmly established himself as the number one goalkeeping choice in recent years.
He is now within sight of making 200 first team appearances for the club.Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved. The information contained in Completesports.com may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed without the prior written authority of Completesports.com.
