Joleon Lescott is confident Wolves will not be forced into selling their best players in the January transfer window.
Last season’s Championship winners have made a positive start to life in the Premier League, with just one defeat from their opening seven matches leaving the club ninth in the table on 12 points.
The likes of Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota have received huge praise for their performances and a number of European clubs are believed to be showing an interest in the trio’s services.
However, Lescott – who played for Wanderers from 2000-2006 – believes the financial stability and ambition of his former employers will ensure they keep hold of their best players.
“A big club could be interested in Neves in January depending on how well he does, they are all going to be interested as he is a good player,” he told 888sport. “But in terms of what Wolves are trying to do I don’t think they will be in any rush to sell him (or) to even make him available.
“I am confident that Wolves are in a good position financially. Collectively the club and stability that they have means they are well-equipped to withstand pressure for their players.
“You’ve got to meet the ambitions of your players and Wolves saying they want to play in Europe does that.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
