Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni made his debut for Coventry City on Tuesday night coming on as a substitute in their 1-1 Legue One draw away to AFC Wimbledon, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The former Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn striker came on for Marcus Tudgay in the 61st minute as his side surrendered a one-goal lead in the stoppage time of the game.
Jodi Jones gave Coventry the lead in the 61st minute but a late goal from Paul Robinson earned Wimbledon a share of the spoils.
Coventry are still rock bottom in the League One table with 22 points from 31 points. They face Gillingham at home on Saturday.
At Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ goalkeeper Carl Ikeme conceded his 30th goal of the Championship season in goal for Wolves who lost 1-0 to Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.
Jake Buxton rose high to head home a corner for Wigan to stun Wolves. Wolverhampton Wanderers dropped to 18th position in the Championship table with 35 points from 31 games.
Ikeme has made 26 appearances, keeping seven clean sheets.
At Craven Cottage, Sone Aluko played for 84 minutes as Fulham defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 in a five-goal thriller. Aluko was replaced by Scott Parker. The Nigerian has scored four goals in 31 appearances.
In Holland, Kelechi Nwakali was in action for the entire duration for MVV Maastricht who played out a 1-1 draw away to Jong Ajax in the second tier.
