Everton sacked Martinez at the end of last season after three years in charge of the team following their 12th place finish in the Premier League.
Under Martinez, the Toffees won just five league games at home lastl season and Yobo, a former Everton centre-back, believes the Toffees can dream oo new heights with the former Southampton boss in charge.
"Took a break since I lost Coach Amodu, mulled over it and convinced @Everton got it right with the appointment of Koeman. So let's dream!" Yobo tweeted on Monday.
Martinez promised to deliver Champions League football when he was appointed to replace David Moyes in the summer of 2013 but he never delivered on that promise.
