Yusuf: CHAN Eagles Won’t Defend Against Benin Republic

By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf has told Completesportsnigeria.com that his team will not sit back and defend to get their desired result against the Squirrels of Benin Republic in their Sunday's first leg of African Nations Championship qualifiers.

Yusuf believes he has assembled the best attacking talent to get a crucial win ahead of the second leg in Kano next weekend.

"In training, the players have shown that they can play collectively and also show their individual brilliance," Yusuf told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We've got creative players to get us a goal. Concentration will be a big part of Sunday's game and maybe a bit of luck as well.

"But it will be the ultimate test. It's going to be really hard.

"It will be a bit cagey, because we are playing away, but we are not here to defend. We'll try to take our chance when we get one.

"We need to try to get a positive result on Sunday, knowing how difficult it's going to be."
