–NFF contacts former Enyimba coach ahead new deal
Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, could be on his way back into the national team, Complete Sports has gathered.
Yusuf, a reliable source disclosed, has been contacted by top hierarchy of the NFF over a return to the senior national team.
“I can confirm to you that Yusuf has been contacted by NFF officials over a national team job”, a source close to the El-Kanemi gaffer informed Complete Sports.
“They have contacted him on phone but I cannot say in whatever capacity, is it going to be Super Eagles assistant coach, or is he going to be in-charge of the home based Eagles, I do not know for now.
“But the picture will get clearer in the coming days but for now the fact remains Salisu Yusuf may not see off his job with El-Kanemi this season because of national team duties”, the source added.
The soft-spoken coach had previously managed Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars and currently handling El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
However, efforts to speak with him proved abortive as his mobil phone was switched off despite several calls put to his mobile phone.
