Super Eagles interim coach, Salisu Yusuf, has stated that the team will not underrate Luxembourg in Tuesday's international friendly game.
The game against Luxembourg is the second friendly organized for the Eagles as part of preparations towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers coming up later in the year.
On Friday, the Eagles beat Mali 1-0 in Rouen, France, thanks to a 77th minute goal by substitute Kelechi Iheanacho.
Speaking ahead of the Tuesday game, Yusuf however told thenff.com that the Eagles will go into the match with the aim of emerging victorious.
“There are no longer small teams in international football,: You could get a sucker punch if you underestimate any team. We will go out there and play to win,” Yusuf said.
Luxembourg have won only two of their last 10 matches, beating Macedonia 1-0 in a Euro 2016 qualifier in September 2015 and Greece by the same margin in a friendly two months later.
Their last match, a friendly against Albania in March this year, ended in a 2-0 defeat for them.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
