Egyptian sides; Zamalek and Al Ahly, are in the hunt to sign former Nigerian youth international Stanley Ohawuchi from another Egyptian outfit, Wadi Degla, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ohawuchi who featured for Nigeria's U-20 side, the Flying Eagles at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt has been a revelation since linking up with Wadi Degla from Maltese side Silema Wanderers in 2004.
The former Heartland player has scored 27 goals in 53 appearances for Degla.
However, It's Zamalek who are firm favourites to land the player after making enquiries about his availability from his club.
According to reports in the Egyptian media, Zamalek president Morkada Mansour has contacted his Degla counterpart, Maged Samy, to seek a move for the 26- year old.
Degla are however not interested in selling the player, but are open to a loan move.
Zamalek are looking to offload Zambian striker Emmanuel Mayuka who have failed to impress since joining the club in January to free up a foreign spot in the squad.
