I want Nigeria to do Zambia what we did to Liberia in 2012. After missing out of race for AFCON Equitoria Guinea and Gabon in 2012, Nigeria came up against Liberia in the last phase of the 2013 AFCON qualifiers. We drew 2:2 with them in Moronvia and the Leon Stars became so boastful like these Zambians, promising to disgrace us Portharcourt. I guess our players were deeply hurt by those insultive comments leading up to the match. They pummelled Liberia by 6 goals to 1 at the Liberation Stadium. One of their key men even got a marching order. Thanks to goals from V. Moses (2), Mikel (1), Ambrose (1), Musa (1). I’ve forgotten the other goal scorer. Let the Super Eagles do the same to these Chipolopolo stars , to keep their mouth shut. We can do it. Many of the players who scored against Liberia are still in this team. These Zambians are becoming so annoying.

Papafem! Do you really want a little bit of history? 6-1 to Eagles against Liberia? Impressive but 1974 Zambia 5 vs Nigeria 1 Afcon qualifier. We knocked your team out of the race in the 1974 AFCON qualifiers. Then we went on to play the finals against DR Congo then Zaire for the sole world cup ticket and to also decide which country would host the famous RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE boxing fight between Ali and Foreman if my record serves me right. See the Eagles have never knocked out Chipolopolo in qualifier matches but we have in fact twice and remember the 1986 AFCON qualifiers? So we are in familiar territory. I don’t know about your team but yes its true the bogey team will soon be touching down in Uyo for the showdown. And please don’t invade the pitch because FIFA will kick you out of the competition and fine you again. We love playing you at least we have the pleasure of sending you packing after the qualifiers. Watch out it is the bogey side on your case once again yeah!”faceoff” at the nest of champions not Lions or Desert foxes.

That Zambian forgot that Nigeria beat Zambia in the final of the 1994 AFCON. Was it not a painful defeat? They had hoped they would win the AFCON for the first time on the back of Nigeria, just as they now hope they can go to the World Cup for the first time on the back of the same Nigeria.

@The Outsider, you made me laugh, not only in name (you are actually an OUTSIDER, including your team CHIPOLOPOLO!), but also with your lopsided history. You’re talking of 1974, when Nigeria was just coming out of the ashes of of Civil War. Green Eagles, as they were known then, never really picked until 1978 AFCON. We consolidated on this by winning the 1980 AFCON at home. Since then, Nigeria has gone on to win 3 AFCON titles, 6 AYC titles, 5 U-17 World titles, 2 silver medals at WYC, 8 AWCON titles, 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze Olympic medals. We’ve not missed a single edition FIFA World Women Championships at the senior, intermediate and junior levels since inceptions. Show me Zambia’s credentials, Mr. Outsider. Fine, you denied us of the ticket to 1986 AFCON, but we returned with a bang, winning a silver medal in 1988, another silver in 1990 (we dismissed your Copperbullet in the semi-finals if that competition) and a bronze medal in 1992. Three consecutive medals. We capped it up by flogging your team again in the final of the next edition and went on to have an outstanding World Cup in the US. We are talking of 2017, you’re talking of 1974. It shows your sense of history has out outgrown your sense of reality. It’s not a crime to dream, but some people won’t just quit their world of infatuation. I reserve my comment till after the match. My prediction remains the same : Nigeria 4 Zambia 0.
