Zamfara FC have written to the board of the Nigeria National League, NNL, asking for readmission into the second-tier domestic football league, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Zamfara United pulled out of the league two seasons ago but are now asking for readmission
under the guise of FC Zamfara.
However, NNL has set a four-point high hurdle for the club if they must be readmitted into the league system.
In a memo dated May 13, 2015 sent to the NNL board and all state FAs, and signed by Lawrence Katken, secretary of NNL, the league board requested the new club to provide it with an afidavit not to drag league or football into disrepute no matter the circumstance.
They are also to provide the certificate of registration of their sponsors, Zamfara
Completesportsnigeria.com further reports that before their request for readmission
would be granted, FC Zamfara who claimed they are not being sponsored by Zamfara State government must provide certificate of incorporation and list of its board of Trustees.
