Tottenham Hotspur will face Ajax in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League after the Lily Whites edged out Manchester City 4-4 on aggregate on Wednesday reports Completesports.com.
It was an incredible start to the game as City chased down the first-leg deficit and were on level terms after just four minutes as Raheem Sterling scored a wonderful opener, curling a 20-yard shot into the far corner.
But Heung Min Son scored twice in two minutes, capitalising on rare defensive errors from City defender Aymeric Laporte as the Spurs striker put his first under Ederson and his second was a stunning curling shot into the top corner.
Bernardo Silva’s shot was deflected in off Danny Rose to level scores at 2-2.
Then, after 21 minutes, Sterling converted De Bruyne’s brilliant low cross to make it 3-2.
The strike set a new Champions League record of the quickest to five goals in the competition.
Manchester City kept pressing and finally the pressure told when Sergio Aguero smashed home a fourth after 59 minutes to put Guardiola’s men ahead on aggregate for the first time in the whole tie.
Later in in the game, Kieran Trippier’s corner was turned in by Fernando Llorente to seal Spurs berth in the semi-final.
In the other semi-final, Liverpool thrashed FC Porto 4-1 to advance 6-1 on aggregate.
Goals from Saido Mans, Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil Van Dijk booked a semi final date with Barcelona.

The quality of football I saw in the Man City v Tottenham and Juve v Ajax were of the highest levels that I have seen recently.
Oh my goodness!.
Ajax particularly are playing football that is out of this world: the one-two passes, slick moves, pass-and-go, link up play.
I would have preferred a Liverpool v Ajax semi finals.
As it stands, I predict a Barcelona v Ajax final. Now, that will be a spectacle!
Yes, these matches were out of this World. It was something l have never seen before.
Ironically, a lot of these wonderful players don’t or can’t replicate their skills to their National teams.
