Waterman Group is pleased to announce their partnership with top British sprinter Ojie Edoburun. who competes in the 100m and 200m track events.
As one of Great Britain’s most promising young athletes, Ojie had his big break through in 2013 where he won silver in 100m at the IAAF World Youth Championships.
He won his first 100m European Junior Champion title in 2015, and went on to compete in the Olympics Games, representing team GB at the age of 20. Ojie’s personal best for 100m is 10.04 seconds and his sights are now firmly set on making it to the World Championships in Doha.
The collaboration with Ojie aims to inspire and motivate Waterman’s own people through workshops, seminars and speaking engagements focused on topics such as mental well-being, nutrition and commitment to a healthy lifestyle. He will bring his unique insight into the dedication, discipline and perseverance it takes to compete, and win, at the highest level.

Waterman’s Board Director, Craig Beresford, commented; “We are very excited to be working with Ojie. Ojie will be racing next at the Anniversary Games in London on 20 July.
MY STORY 
Born in Edmonton, North London, I played sport throughout my youth having a real passion for athletics and football.
Inspired by the upcoming London 2012 Olympics, I joined Enfield & Haringey Athletics Club and just a year later had a breakthrough winning a World Youth Silver in the 100m in Donetsk.
I progressed fairly rapidly and in 2015 became the European Junior Champion in Eskilstuna.
Education has been an important part of my progression and that same year I started my Sport & Exercise degree at Middlesex University, which I completed in 2018.
At the time I was training at Lee Valley and being coached by Jonas Dodoo alongside Reece Prescod and CJ Ujah.
In 2016 I was named in the 4x100m relay team for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
In 2017 I won gold at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz, as well as picking up a silver in the 4×100 relays at the same championships.
Last year I joined Steve Fudge’s training group at Lee Valley and I was selected to represent Great Britain at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow this March.
