Ejuke Ready To Wait For Super Eagles Chance

Chidera Ejuke says he is prepared to wait for his chance to feature for the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.

Ejuke scored nine goals in 25 league appearances for his Dutch club SC Heerenveen last season and there has been clamour for his invitation to the Super Eagles.

The 22-year-old is however not in a hurry to make his first appearance for the three-time African champions.

“I know if I’m given the chance, I will take it,” he told Cool FM Abuja.

“It’s not something to rush, I am going to be patient and wait for my time (with the Super Eagles).”

Ejuke has also been linked with a move away from Heerenveen this summer.

He only linked up with Heerenveen from Norwegian club Valerenga last summer.

My people. This guy matter na matter of small..very small time. To me, this guys is a SUPERIOR Samuel Kalu with less injury record. His Highlights are there for all to see. If you want to watch his full game in a match. Stay glued to ESPN.

I watched his game against Ajax. He was a terror. That game really described bit part of his performance this season. He is so fast. He completed every of his Dribble attempts. To be sincere, the only reason I won’t say he is way better than Chukwueze is because he uses Right foot predominantly while Chukwueze is a left footer so it would be unfair to judge. He is just so good and amongst the Wingers we have all across Europe this season, he is the Highest scoring winger with the Highest assist.

Why the delay in inviting him??
Someone tweeted one time that The Netherlands might persuade him to switch Nationalism because of his immense talent and it’s true. Abeg Coach Rohr should act fast immediately International Football resumes.

    • GLORY 4 years ago

Definitely not better than Kalu. That boy Kalu delivers every time he plays for SE n he is such bundle of skills/energy. That’s not to take anything away from Ejuke who surely will get his chance pretty soon.

      • Chairmanfemi 4 years ago

My brother wake up. Why not wait for him to also play in the Eagles shirt first before concluding? Was Kalu not also watched in his club before he was invited. Now you go and watch EJUKE play for Hereenven in the Dutch league this season. Watch a full match and come back here to comment or even highlight on YouTube will do. For anyone that has truly watched EJUKE, they will agree with me that he is Kalu’s upgraded version. Not to take anything away from Immense talent boy – Kalu though. Injury wise, EJUKE is also much more fit than Kalu

        • GLORY 4 years ago

Mr man check your comment n mine before talking about conclusion. Easy to read man.

          • Joel Chidi 4 years ago

@Glory EJUKE is the 2:0 of kalu simply by his end product. The facts are there. He completes his dribbles, delivers great assists on a steady base and above all scores goals regularly. #ENDPRODUCT is everything in football and this was the singular reason Jay Jay okocha never truly played for a very big club.

          • GLORY 4 years ago

@ Chidi Joel. There is massive difference between club football n national team football. I LL love to see Chidera play for the national team first before rating him above Kalu but I bet you, you will be on my side after that game. I watch Dutch league because of Chidera Ejuke n Desser. Both have been very impressive for their clubs but before we start saying they are superior to the ones we have, let them come to show they are first.

          • Na so dem scream about paul onuachu, until he played one game and flopped after. Please invite everyone and lets see how you want to fit them in

    • Pompei 4 years ago

Chairmanfemi, I also heard the same thing oooo. Holland are looking at the guy. And why wouldn’t they? In my opinion, Ejuke is as good as, if not better than, their golden boy Memphis Depay. Ejuke would be a dream addition to their squad.
Nigeria, na so we go dey look like teddy bear until we lose this gem of a player?
Indeed, Rohr needs to act fast, even faster than Speedy Gonzalez. No time. There is no excuse. Unless we don’t like good things. If that is the case, then no wahala. Holland are welcome to have him. Then we will have another David Alaba situation.

I am wondering why Genorh Rohr hasn’t invited him but I know that Rohr is really spoilt for choice on the wings. There are so many choices. I don’t envy GR right now. The headache is much which is as a result of his unending drive for excellence. He has really raised the bar for the SE. I just came across this article on owngoalnigeria.com he is still searching for left full back to improve on what he has and he even said he went for the cologne right full back, to create an offensive and defensive synergy between the guy and chukwueze. Read it up in the article. GR is really building something special. Eagles will be hard to play against. Even Sadio mane has acknowledge it. https://www.owngoalnigeria.com/2020/05/20/cristiano-ronaldos-agent-hooks-rohrs-left-back-target-zaidu-sanusi-as-move-to-porto-draws-near/ he is about to unearth another wonderful player to rival Collins. This team will surpass the 94 team because he will drill them to work less flamboyantly but more purposefully and result oriented. Kudos GR i’m a big fan

I’m done commenting about this baller, being screaming about this boy for almost two year now, this boy is super Eagles ready, as winger or attacking midfielder he will hold his own against any of our first eleven. Maybe he needs to bribe someone at the glass house for him to be invited.

  • This is how our national team suppose to be….
U cant just walk into the team… U must do extraordinary to dispose the person in that position….
Unlike b4 that an unknown name will just pop-up from no where… Some times from the lowest leagues in europe like JORDAN, BELARUS, OMAN, MALTA or even LITHUANIA and b4 u know what’s up; he’s already in the travelling plane to a tournament…..

I’m still wondering where uche nwofor, micheal babatunde & uchebor are plying their trade….
How did they even overlaped our established strikers and sneek into the SE is still a surprise to me….

Ejuke just patiently wait for ur time….
It is no longer “BUSINESS AS USUAL”…..

NOW; U MUST OVER-DO AND CLEAR DOUBTERS WRONG b4 u can be given a chance….

    KUDOS TO BABA GERNOT ROHR….

  • Just to clear the air on Ejuke’s nationality situation:

The Dutch can keep admiring him for the time being but a change of nationality isn’t in the offing for now as they’ll have to wait at least 4more years because he’s a full Nigerian with no ancestral ties to Nederland and hasn’t spent five legal years in Holland…

So not to worry fellas…and that’s not to say he shouldn’t be invited soon to SE when the opportunity avails itself

    • Chairmanfemi 4 years ago

Thanks Cuteprince for clearing the air on this issue. But you can’t dispute this “Oyinbo-power” some European countries has. Before you know it, they will do abrakadabra and before you say Jack-Robinson, EJUKE is wearing the National team jersey of the Netherlands..hmmm

    • Pompei 4 years ago

The good thing is Ejuke himself would rather play for Nigeria. But if we continue to dilly dally, and the Dutch show interest, it would be tough for him to refuse. They can fast track his citizenship. And if that happens, its a done deal. Rohr needs to move on this asap. I would hate to see us lose a player of this quality.

    • Dr. Drey. 4 years ago

      Thanks @ Cuteprince.
And per FIFA rules, even if Netherlands should grant him an express citizenship which they are not even considering now, he still has to reside in the country for at least 4 more years to be granted approval to play for the oranje. It’s the misinterpretation of that rule that got Equitorial Guinea banned from female football for a while. They had that penchant for assembling ‘united nations’ team and fast tracking their citizenship status just to get them to play for their female national team. Togo used to do the same too in the early 2000s but they’ve since stopped. They at that period had about 4 Brazilians playing for the hawks.

Ejuke is an exciting player with great potentials. In my opinion, just like he rightly said, patience and also doing the needful which is very important. What he needs to do is move to a better team,a club that will put him in a good platform to get invited because at the moment he’s just as good as what we have in his position. This has been responsible why he kept being ignored, excluded or overlooked.Besides the lads who gets called ahead of him play in better teams in Europe and have been with the super eagles for a few years and have bonded.
Unfortunately,no amount of technical proficiency can make up for a failed team dynamic!because through synergy,a good team is able to create an end result far outweighing what individual talent could produce.
Frankly,to get a chance in Gernot Rohr’s team you have to have better talent than what he’s got in the team already.I’m not saying Ejuke’s talent isn’t good enough but he is just at per with what we have in the wings.

    • GLORY 4 years ago

Good talk @ greenturf. Ejuke is a good player reason I watch hereeven’s matches. Watched him against Heracles featuring Dessers. He is very much onyekuru styled but more aggressive. They are very good at dribbling where there are lots of spaces to travel, but against compact teams they struggle. He has no doubt done well to deserve SE call up. But saying he is better than Samuel Kalu is just an over statement. He has to come to show that he is before we say. Kalu is about the closest we have to JJ okocha in this present SE team at the moment.

Chidera Ejuke is a baller and a talent !!!…and I love his true patriotism!!
He is in the Super Eagles radar and His time in the super eagles will definitely come!
He should just keep working hard and continue his development.

This is the type of improvement we all wanted in our new look national team and I give the current coaching staff lead by Gernot Rohr all the Kudos !!!

    God bless 9ja !!!

  • https://www.owngoalnigeria.com/2020/03/12/chidera-ejuke-is-in-my-super-eagles-plans-gernot-rohr-assures/ That’s the reaction of Rohr to Ejuke issue, the gaffer knows what he’s doing, pls let’s be patient with him, Ejuke will surely play for us. Rohr has made contact with a certain Zaidu salisu a left back that’s be currently courted by Porto for a potential summer signing. He has played 24 matches for Santa clara n emerged 3 times team of the week player in Portuguese league. Saka “MIGHT” also decides for us, judging from the feelers from his camp, according to reports, his Father is insisting on him playing for NIGERIA.
