Pinnick Charges Home Eagles To Beat Mexico, Claim Big Stardom; Promises October Friendly

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has urged the Home-based Super Eagles to play according to the coaches’ instructions, work hard  and win when the team file out against Mexico in tonight’s international friendly game.

Pinnick stated when he visited the team’s camp alongside Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr. The team is expected to face Mexico by 4am Nigerian time.

The former Delta State Sports administrator urged the players to ensure that they play as a team and get a positive result against Mexico for them to be identified.

He assured the players that he will monitor all their transfer moves in order not to fall victim to dubious agents.

Pinnick also stated that the players would engage Ghana and Canada in an international friendly game in October.

“I am very happy with this development. There is no better way for you to showcase your talent than this game. Don’t play to impress me, play according to the instruction of the coach. Once you do that, you will be identified,” Pinnick told the players.

“I don’t want to hear that you are doing one transfer. If you are going to Real Madrid, Arsenal, Man United or any clubs in Europe, I will make sure I follow you for them to know that you are very important.

“You are the next big thing in Nigerian football regardless of the club you play for. You guys are the Super Eagles. e must win this game and by grace, in October we are going to tidy up all the documentation. You guys will be playing against Ghana and possibly maybe Canada. We want to expose you to the highest level. You guys are the pride of Africa right now. We won’t allow all these agents to take you to unknown clubs.”

Is this pic photoshopped? LMAO! Is Pinnick’s head really that smooth?
I’m sure Pinnick and Wazza Dazzler will be available for selection if needed today.
The DYNAMIC DUO will be ready to spring a surprise on Mexico. I suggest the 2 should be brought in 30 mins to the end, for maximum impact.

  • NaijaEaglesFan 3 years ago

“Player sales” is the sole reason for the agitation of having home base players in the Eagles and the main reason the NFF is prosecuting this match with home base players only.

  • KangA 3 years ago

Something doesn’t click here. Why this spurious love for the H-B Eagles? Is it for real? A team that has found even CHAN elusive?

And what of the interest in the clubs the boys join? Are we to believe there’s nothing in it for Oga Pinnick. Make we watch see wetin go happen.

  • Omo9ja 3 years ago

Fellow Nigerians, the match between Nigeria and Mexico will soon be under way. Win or lose, Nigerian team must prove a point.

I have no confidence in Aigbogun’s ability but that is not an excuse but I know that our home based have to prove to us that what our foreign based team can do, they can do it as well.

You can watch the match here. FEED4U.
Let’s go oooo Super Eagles. Good luck. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • You speak with two sides of your mouth. You were making noise on the use of home based players and local coach now you’re shifting goal post. We are two goals down now in just 5 minutes of the game. Hope you can see now.

      • Ovigwen 3 years ago

As we can see from the match today it’s only a person with wicked objectives will want home to be included wholly into SE

    • Funking guy

    • Omo9ja 3 years ago

It’s now clear to me that many of Oga Rohr followers doesn’t know much about football.

This is well planned and well executed by NFF.

from Yobo to Eguavoen and from Eguavoen to Aigbogun and you are expecting miracles to happen abi?

Do you think these coaches presented the best players in the NPFL?

I have said this immediately after the released of the list of our home based team that our home based team would be overwhelmed they never played in such a over crowded place before.

The goalie proved a point in that match. Very bold and confidence.

Aigbogun made his substitutions timely and he rings changes but you can’t expect too much when you didn’t select the best squad.

Why NFF used our home based to play against Mexico?

Even our A team can’t beat this Mexico team.

We saw their kerewa kerewawa display against an average Cameroonian team in both two matches.

Visa is the excuses for Mr. Eguavoen absent abi?

      Let’s Keep deceiving themselves.

You wanted to build a B team without having a good plan in place.

Playing against African clubs or African oppositions would have bn another option for our home based team.

Building a team like home based team is a gradual process.

You can’t just buy a canoe and throw the canoe into the middle of the sea just like that and expecting the canoe not to be sinked into a dipper sea.

That is what happened against Mexico.

NFF are confused because they don’t know what they are doing.

Kudos to our home based team. They tried their best but their best wasn’t good enough due to the fact that the best players wasn’t selected for the game period.

Oga Rohr escaped this one with our A team against Mexico.

NFF have dabaru everything. We are watching you NFF.

Oga Rohr followers, you now happy now that our home based team were beaten 4-0?

It is well o lol. You were not happy like this when Leone star scored four goals against our world class coach team.

You didn’t laugh like this when Cameroon beat Super Eagles with our Oga Rohr.

Now that Oga Aigbogun in charge of our B team, you are mocking the innocent man team? Continue……

The time will tell. Fingers crossed. We are watching you all including NFF. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

I have said this times without number. No talent in the so called Nigerian league. You can only find talent at those Academy and even on the street of Lagos or anywhere young Boys gather playing football. Those aforementioned players don’t need a huge incentive to perform because they play for the love of the game. Just give them a match token of 7k – 10k each then you will see a quality football. All they need is send team of Secret Scout to watch the game then you will see some talents for sure

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Dr.Drey… Were we expecting a win from Nigeria? The boys gave their best… three are lots of them with potentials. Give them the right exposure, welfare and coaching.

Bro there is no disgrace no matter the outcome, even the mexicans know they are playing Nigeria’s home base team.

  • pompei 3 years ago

The Mexican commentators are making fun of our players’ names, making fun of our football league. They are having a big laugh at our expense.

  • No shot off target yet from our fantastic “many talents” team

  • pompei 3 years ago

A Mexican commentator just said that this is our Team C. At least they know say no be our main squad be dis. But that will not soften the blow for us if we get hammered today.

  • QuestZone 3 years ago

I think say musa na home boy now… You mean he nor make local talent list… lmyo.. lol

  • Poor positional play, no link up play, the only strategy seems to be to haul the ball long out of defence hoping that our player will get it.

No creative work from the midfield and nobody shield the defence .The ease with which the Mexicans slide through is worrisome.

My thought though, the team ought to be a mixture of super Eagles fringe players and the local boys. The Galatasaray man in central defence, Kelechi Nwakali in Mid field and Terem to partner Anayo upfront. The 3 will be the nucleus of the team and their experience and exposure will count.

This is a full Mexican national team preparing for a major competition.Hope we will not collect a basket.Let me go back to sleep

  • pompei 3 years ago

Mexican commentator – “The Nigerians are just playing sideways and backwards. Very little forward movement”.

  • pompei 3 years ago

I’m still waiting for our first shot at goal. No shot in 45 mins. No cross into the box. No pass from midfield. Nothing.
The positive is that they have sorted things out a bit in defense. Over 40 mins and very few chances created by Mexico.

  • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Abeg make una jus watch and enjoy the game. Even the Mexicans arent killing themselves anymore knowing these ones are just there for a kick about. Dont expect anything from them even if they are camped for a whole year. You cant give what you dont have. Common ball playing skills nor even dey dia leg. The talents some illusionists claim they have must have been left behind at the immigrations desk at LAX airport….LMAO.
What I am just happy about is that we have a standing team on ground now even if CHAN qualifiers begin next Saturday, at least that means we wont be subjected to another 4 goal humiliation by Togo…Lol

If I hear anybody make noise about Westerhoff scouting our league in the 1989 again….The ayelala wey go slap that person mouth ehn….Lmao. The products of our league were not this clueless, headless and colorless even as at then. Even our €1m rated super star has nothing of note to offer so far.

  • JimmyBall 3 years ago

… Could we have said our main team will have posted a good result against Mexico? Most of these guys are playing first time in a crowd above 10000 spectators… I hope the boys give a good account of themselves. I believe some fringe players… the likes of Terem, Awoniyi, Nwakali and a couple of guys looking for caps will have been injected… if we had like seven (7) such players added to a majority homebased… I believe our fight will have been better… Most teams are yet to begin preseasons with Euros on… Well… from the day the friendly was announced… Our coach said it was an all-homebased to play… So I believe we are following the objectives…

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hahahahaha…excuses. Add the green grass to your list of excuses. The grass must be too green too…LMAO….that is why they also have zero ball playing skills….LMAO. I thought homebased are as good as foreign based and playing in Europe is by luck…..LMAO….why are you begging for 7 foreign-based to be included….LMAO.

Mr man preseason has started…clubs have started playing friendlies all over Europe. I watched Ajax and Galatasaray’s friendly games yesterday already.

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

If I had my way I will never ever invite any home-based player till our league improves. Total rubbish.

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

No o. Na lie o we nor go gree. Infact the Sports Minister must increase the number of slots for homebased players from 4 to 10….LMAO…as a matter of fact we must place an embargo on foreign based players for the next 5 years. How can our league be producing so MANY TALENTS and we still depending on foreign based players….over 600 “MANY TALENTS” every season o…..LMAO.
Playing in Europe is by luck jare…these homebased players are good, even better than the foreign based….hehehehehe….they are just not ‘lucky’….LMAO

      • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

@JimmyBall,abeg go park well joor. “Ki lo n so ti ko dun l’enu e naa”
    NPFL really got Talents.
Please, where is that Chris Talker of a Sports Minister who knows next to nothing about football.
Our local league is dead mehnnn, with what i am seeing on display here and what i saw of Enyimba in the CAF Confederation Cup.
No positional play whatsoever, defenders don’t even know how to hold their lines. This is really shameful, i believe some of the boys in the many Academies scattered around the country would even do better

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Coachie… go and sit down… Will you beat your chest that our main team would have won this game? Even Madagascar beat us last nations cup 2-0, how did Sunusi Ibrahim manage to be present or the young Tottenham goalie… So if our so caled stars refused to play unto say them dey untop holiday jollificatolion make we no play match again? Even Mr. Nonplaying captain who is now a Bona Fide homebased sef dey the form holiday even… Lol. It’s better to go to war for your country and die than chicken out even before any gun is fired… We have talents bountiful in NPFL, we just need to demand better management and welfare together with improved coaching and training methods… See the confidence Sunusi
is playing it… how long did he leave the NPFL?
We have no talent in NPFL yet he was signed
to MLS and seems to be doing well!

      • Nkemjikapj 3 years ago

What you are saying doesn’t make sense? When last did our main team lose 4-0. We have played Argentina multiple times in a world cup game and lost by a single goal in those occasions.
Our main team can never lose 4-0 to mexico

        • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Nkemjikapj… The rally back wey Sierra Leone do your almighty Super Stars Eagles right at our own home was more disgraceful than this home Eagles capitulation to an A-rate team… Like Mexico!

  • When some of us are stating the obvious, @Jimmyball, @Kenneth,@Omo9ja, @Chima E Samuel will say we should go our heads for them to cut. We can now see our “many talents” even if Mexico brings their team C dem go still win us. Set of players that has no sense of positional play, no cohesion, no directional movement. Let’s just accept the fact that our best are in Europe, enough of this home based nonsense.
Mr talkative Sunday Dare in conjunction with league board and NFF should go and fix our league before they employ the services of Jimmyball and Co to do PR for them.

If they are bereaved of ideas on how to improve the league, they should talk, some of us can help them even for free.

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Ola… I have more respect for all these players fielded today than Ahmed Musa who chickened out… We lost, that’s it. There is no loss that is respectable but nobody can tell me we have no talent in the league… Where did Sanusi Ibrahim start from? We are waiting for Coach Rohr to use
his foreign stars and win Nations Cup come
January 2022… Oga Rohr better ask and collect
him Salaries now o… We no want excuse come
January 2022! Least of his excuse should be
      nonpayment of his salary.

      • What concerns Ahmed Musa with this kind of horrible outing now, must you comment on every topic if you have nothing reasonable to say?

So Musa is now the reason we play like a team that was assembled in monkey post abi. What happened happen to your many talents or Musa is now also part of the many talents?

The hallmark of any noble personality is to admit he is wrong at anytime and makes necessary amendment. Your own case is different, u continue defending the defenceless

My brother na real comedy, but how did our local league become so poor? As in how did we get here. I use to live in Surulere and saw league games and challenge cup games involving Leventis, Iwuanyawu, Stationary stores, 3SC, Abiola Babes, Calabar Rovers, ABC et’al and even shared same building with Monday Odiaka at a time, the quality was top notch then and very enjoyable not the crap i saw tonight/this morning

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

My brother, quality everywhere. You go Adamasingba or Liberty to go see Sooting, 12 noon stadium don full for 4pm kickoff. That was an era when 10 years back to back to back, at least 1 Nigerian club will reach the final of an African club competition.
