Simon is a good player and he actualy deserve it. Despite i have always critisized is performance for eagles in the past 4 years, i still believe that if he plays as a supporting striker he will perform better than playing as a winger, i see him as a reciever not a giver of good balls. and i also see him very dangerouse in the box, if i where rohr simon will also be another option for iwobi if he desides to stick with the previouse formation. Congratulation to you moses simon.

  • Maybe Rohr is playing Simon out of position or not maximising his strength enough like his club coach does, otherwise this news is a bit of a surprise to me.

Simon of 2017/18 in SE shirt was a delight to watch, but seems he’s been a shadow of himself since 2019. Emphasis in SE shirt.

That said, I remember he made the wing incursion and final pass that led to Aribo’s goal in the friendly against Brazil (and similar others).

I’m not an expert, but still something looks off about the dude since after his long injury lay-off. Can’t lay my finger on it.

Nonetheless, I say a big congrats to my brother.

A player just won an award that only few SE players have won such award this season. Those of you that are criticizing Simon, what will you say of Kalu and Onyekwuru ? Simon has just proven that he is far ahead of other SE wingers this Season. You guys will hail Kalu and Onyekwuru, rwo players who played in the same French league and never distinguished themselves.
Overhyped onyekwuru had to be dropped to 5he youth team and later farmed out to another club. Kalu was warming the bench in Bordeaux even Maja fared better than him.
Aside Osimhen, Simon remains the most improved and consistent SE forward this season. Scoring 9 goals and providing 8 assists in the French lique is no joke.
Somon doesn’t need anyone to overhyoe him, his legs do the talking and the sky is the limit

My brother…I thought I was the only one that always believed Onyekuru is over-hyped! He’s not so special as he was hyped during the build up to the World Cup and after the World Cup, his real self was exposed. Monaco fell for the hype and saw he was just a low average baller and shipped him out instata. I don’t see where I can rank him in today’s Super Eagles wingers! He is not even close to them…Ejuke, Simon, Kalu, Chukwueze, Dennis, Musa. Well, I’ll advise him to keep working hard and settle in a club

“….Simon polled 40% of the votes by the fans of the club to pick up the individual accolade…”

Maybe the fans that voted are the ones that will be paid the cool cash…. LMAO

Another one of those termed “Useless” and “has no business in the SE” by haters and progressive Regressives walks home with an award.

He is useless simply because he doesn’t do senseless dribbling without end product anymore for the SE. The fact that he now combines his attacking duties with providing some defensive cover (unlike few years ago when it was attack-attack) in that very problematic left side where we’ve conceeded 56% our goals (according to Solace Chuwku’s research) is irrelevant.

One hitherto useless one ended with AFCON top scorers award…a certain useless iwobi has been directly and indirectly involved in at least 70% of the goals we’ve scored in the last 10 matches we have played…. another useless one will soon be awarded goalkeeper of the season if/when the PSL season ends in South Africa. Even the coach that they said is useless is now the one with the record of highest ever win ratio as coach of Nigeria since 1945 when NFF was founded.

Thank God Rohr doesn’t listen to them.

Oxford should please revise the meaning of “useless”. Because useless is almost becoming the new useful in the Nigerian national team.
