I wonder why Tunisia is still ahead of us.. Hmmmmmm

  • Oakfield 4 years ago

Hehehe… We go climb to no 1 in Africa before the middle of next year meaning that we shall be going to the world cup as the highest ranked african team and with a wonderful crack squad that would send shivers down the spines of other countries as it’s being experienced already. Just a look at the list of our team at the moment is enough to knock down the moral of other teams.

Rohr magic….we are on the right path

  • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

    “..Rohr has done nothing…” LMAO

    • Exactly my brother. I don’t know why people keep on hyping that fraud. He has archived absolutely nothing in 4 years. Some will say he won bronze in 2019. Nigeria has the highest number of bronze medal in the world, so it’s practically nothing.

      • Abdul 4 years ago

        Lol…no comment brother.

      • Ndubuisi 4 years ago

Hmmm Dr Drey is mocking those who believed Rohr has done nothing he does not belong to your camp. Hahahaha

  • FrankL 4 years ago

If rohr continues to be coach,we will enter top 20 before he bows out… Definitely! please let’s add some respect to this man’s name

    • Guy, come on. Top 20 with no trophy to show for? I rather no 200th with a rubber cup. Lol.

      • But why would some pple decide to be clueless???

So in ur thought, nigeria surpose to win trophies b4 they are ranked 20th???

No wonder BELGIUM, ENGLAND, ITALY, SPAIN have trophies in they won in the last their 4 to 6 years….

When they say stop having blind hatre against OGA ROHR u would not hear….
It would make u not to reason well….

That is to say for the past 10 years countries ahead of us(SENEGAL, TUNISIA) have won at least 5 to 6 trophies….
        Hahahahaha….
        Chai…..

Wisdom pls “WA-ZO-BIA”…. we have so many people that blind hatred they have against ROHR has made them to be ignorant and clueless….

  • Somebody once said to me Nigeria as a country is not yet matured enough to govern itself I doubted him but Rohr n super eagles local coaches experience has given me a second thought, all d same we oshimens move to Napoli I doing d magic,we might been winning trophies now but d hand writing is on d wall if we are able to sustain d momentum we will dominate Africa for more than a decade mark my word guys

We mustn’t lose our next game especially against CIV if we want steady rise in Fifa rankings.

Our current midfield doesn’t give me much joy going into that encounter.
In absent of Aribo and iwobi Not getting Minute in his club, who will do the creative work for us?

Rohr should try and invite Michael Olise as he has the capacity to be great.

Meanwhile congrats to the Super Eagles for the rise!!!

  • Abdul Handsy 4 years ago

Congratulations the Super eagles of Nigeria.

My dream call up for the coming friendly in October:

    *Goalkeepers*:

    1. Uzoho
    2. Okoye
    3. Yakubu

    *Defenders* :

    4. Ekong
    5. Ajayi
    6. Balogun
    7. Adarabioyo
    8. Aina
    9. Ebuehi
    10. Ehizibue
    11. Zaidu

    *Midfielders*:

    12. Ndidi
    13. Etebo
    14. Azeez
    15. Akinola
    16. Iwobi
    17. Iheanacho

    *Strikers*:

    18. Osimehn
    19. Dessers
    20. Maja
    21. Chukwueze
    22. Kalu
    23 Ejuke
    24. Denis
    25. SIMON
    26. MUSA

    • Olusegun.B. 4 years ago

One is not sure whether Balogun will be invited. Since he’s just recovering from injury. Rohr might call Kevin Akpopogna
Iheanacho I’m not of him either . Who’s Aninola by the way. We’ll see what happens .

    • your list is Good but they are more deserving players that should be included and some dropped from this list in my honest opinion

      1. Uzoho
      2. Okoye
      3. Yakubu

      *Defenders* :

      4. Ekong
      5. Ajayi
      6. Balogun – Omeruo
      7. Adarabioyo – Jamilu Collins
      8. Aina
      9. Ebuehi – Awaziem
      10. Ehizibue
      11. Zaidu

      *Midfielders*:

      12. Ndidi
      13. Etebo
      14. Azeez
      15. Akinola
      16. Iwobi –
      17. Kelechi Nwakali

      *Strikers*:

      18. Osimehn
      19. Dessers – Simy Nwankwo
      20. Maja
      21. Chukwueze
      22. Kalu
      23 Ejuke – Iheanacho
      24. Denis
      25. SIMON
      26. Onyekuru – instead of Musa

Simy Nwankwo: The Italian Seria A is a far stronger league than the Belgian Jupiter. that is reason enough and Simy is doing well there even though he got relegated to Seria B (which is on par with the Belgian Jupiter League) he was One of the top attackers in Seria A the season they went down. And he is the main reason they are back his time in SE is way overdue. Dressers still needs to prove himself.

Kelechi Iheanacho: we all saw how he bounced back to reckoning last season and deserves a call up with out a shadow of a doubt.

Kelechi Nwakali: I have always said the minute he finds his feet he should walk in to this side. He is the ONLY reason I won’t take it to badly if Ebere Eze decides to play for England. He showed the Most Principle in the Under 17 2015 squad and was MVP and second highest scorer. The MVP of a tournament and team that had Nigeria’s 2 most promising talents today Osimhen and Chukwueze should not be even overlooked or thought of He is the Successor to Obi Mikel PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!. Why will This boy blow up like he was destined to? because he has bags of potential and Quality

Jamilu Collins, Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo (the Rock) Should not and will not lose their places in the squad because, they did Fantastically well against Brazil and Ukraine and have been putting in very very good shifts since Afcon 2019. Their places are Safe!

P.s. Aribo is injured I hope that’s the only reason you didn’t leave him out?.

      Other than that good selection.

  • I wonder how Tunisia is still number 2 in Africa and how England is number 5 in the world. If we beat Tunisia and CIV these next friendlies, we should be number 2 soon and battling with Senegal for number 1 in Africa.

    • Dennis 4 years ago

That of England pisses me off. Just one overhyped team that has won nothing.

  • Dennis 4 years ago

I remember when we used to watch super eagles matches with calculators, play friendlies against Jordan, Jamaica, struggle to win matches against Congo, Lesotho right here in Nigeria while we hope for a draw against these teams when we travel away. We were ranked number 71 in the world and 16th in Africa, failed to qualify for two consecutive nations cup,had players clashing with coaches, inviting players playing in Slovenia 2nd division just cos they bribed their way into camp, had players coming late to camp. Then a certain German came in, a stickler for discipline and orderliness, won matches with ease, saw us play splendid football, friendly games with top nations, currently number 29 in the world and if we should win our 2 friendly games, we could raise to number 25 in the world.
Some people do not still see what he has done and want him out so we could return back to the era of failure. Say whatever you want but gernot rorh is here to stay
    Up super eagles

Dr drey I heard Kevin akpoguma has pledged his allegiance to Nigeria and might be invited soon. How true is this?
See fikayo tomori that would have played for us but ran to England. He’s now been rumoured to be on his way to France to sweeten the deal that would bring goalkeeper mendy to Chelsea. He’s England career is as good as over

    • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

The picture will become clearer by the time the list for the October friendlies is out. But its becoming obvious that quite a number of these guys are beginning to wake up from their day-dreams and retracing their steps back to the SE.

  • Igbekun Abo 4 years ago

This is good to know. Forward ever for the Super Eagles under our German Wizard Gernot Rohr. Who no like beta thing. We only want the best for our national team. God bless Nigeria, God bless us all. We are now in the top 30 in the world for the first time in a long time. If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up o. For the love of Zeus, see the roll call of Nations behind Nigeria in Fifa rankings.
    Turkey
    Algeria
    Morocco
    Czech Republic
    Ghana
Egypt,,,, and the list goes on
We now dine on the same table with top 30 teams. This is gr8t.

  • But but but “…ROHR does not know how to coach….”

“… He kills the morals in our world best stars with his simple truth…”

“… He plays too much defensive game …”

    “… He makes late substitution…”

“… He doesn’t know how to do changes …”

“he doesn’t have game plan and tactices not to even talk of game reading”…

“in fact; he needs experience of YOBO to read and interprete games for him; hahahaha…”….
    Chai;

wetin ADAMU nor go see for gate????

    We are 29; still counting…..

By this time next year if CHRIST tarry to come and all things remaining equal(PANDEMIC FREE); we are already ranked 15th in the world…

HATERS pls start now and search for a near by TRANSFORMER…

    • Sportsfan,

You should know by now that you have an Ardent follower in me. Nice list but (as of the time of typing this message) you featured Iheanacho twice. That shows you love him so much. 🙂

I think CSN’s new edit button can still allow you to remove it so we know whether, for the purpose of national team football, you see Iheanacho as a midfielder or a striker.

      Cheers.

    • greenturf 4 years ago

Dessers has not covered himself in glory since moving to Belgium. In fact he is struggling!

Genuinely he doesn’t deserve to be in the super eagles at least not yet.Inviting Dessers ahead of more deserving players is not good for the image of the super eagles.

      Invitations should be on merit!

      • @wow! With one goal in two competitive matches?
Ok have u seen dessers in naija color before? NO but we’ve seen others…so the time is now(A friendly match)

      • @greenturf…

        Who should they invite???
nwankwo simy that is yet to test any competive action in serie A???…. Days are gone when we use to leave in history o!…

Or should they invite your serbian, czech republic, latvian, norwagian, cypros, malta, indonecian stars that would play 20 matches and score 25goals but by the time they throw them into the big stage they start running helter-scelter seeking for loan move…..
        Hahahahaha

        That time has pass boss….
We are in the era of rubbing shoulders with countries like BRAZIL, ENGLAND, ARGENTINA, UKRAIN in friendly games hence big boys are needed ASAP….

Michael Olise of Reading would be a great replacement for Aribo. He has been doing a great job of late in Reading’s midfield alongside Ejaria. Tall and a bit skinny. But what he lacks in physique, he makes up for with abundant skill and composure. A joy to watch.

  • WHO IS TOBIAS LAWAL? I HEAR HE MAY BE CALLED UP FOR THE FRIENDLY GAMES AS A GOAL KEEPER. I JUST WATCHED HIS VIDEOS, AND THE KID HAS SHARP REFLEXES AND AGILITY.
THE ONLY ISSUE IS HE PLAYS IN A LOWER LEAGUE.
WELL, LETS SEE HOW IT ALL PLAYS OUT.
