Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), one of Nigeria’s two representatives in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup, have received a financial incentive to fight for goals when they face Tunisian side CS Sfaxien in Saturday’s first-leg preliminary-round clash, Completesports.com reports.
3SC Receive Goal-Scoring Incentive From Comrade Olawale
Comrade Isaac Olawale Ifadare Ayangbile, Vice Chairman of the Oyo State Football Association, has motivated Shooting Stars players ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien.
Ayangbile promised the team a ₦10,000 reward for every goal scored by the Oluyole Warriors in the crucial encounter scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State, which kicks off at 4:00 p.m.
The Oyo FA vice chairman said his gesture is aimed at inspiring the players to give their best and secure a convincing result for the Oluyole Warriors.

“Every goal counts. One goal in favour of Shooting Stars attracts ₦10,000,” Ayangbile declared.
The players will now look to reciprocate the gesture by scoring as many goals as possible to ensure victory in the first-leg tie and make the return fixture in Tunis next week a bit easier.
Shooting Stars Target Strong Result Against CS Sfaxien
The last time Shooting Stars represented Nigeria in a CAF tournament was in 1999.
During that year’s CAF Champions League, Shooting Stars reached the mini-league group stage (Group A), which had Raja Club Athletic of Morocco, Al Ahly SC of Egypt and Accra Hearts of Oak S.C. of Ghana.
They finished bottom of the Group A table with four points and were eliminated at the group stage. Raja Club Athletic and Al Ahly, however, advanced from the group to the knockout phase.
Twenty-seven years after their last appearance, Shooting Stars are back on the big African stage and have now received a massive boost from the Oyo State FA vice chairman as they seek victory against CS Sfaxien.
