Real Madrid could make a move for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea as well as Paul Pogba this summer, it has been claimed. Real are well known to be working on a deal to try and take Pogba to the Bernabeu, while De Gea has been a target for years and came close to joining them two years ago.

The goalkeeper’s future is often the subject of speculation and now journalist Duncan Castles is claiming that Real could make a surprise attempt to sign him if they sense an opportunity. “Some interesting decisions to be taken by a number of clubs here and I wouldn’t rule Real Madrid out of the equation when it comes to De Gea,” he said on The Transfer Window podcast.
“He is not a priority for them. Their priority absolutely is to take Paul Pogba from Manchester United. They’ve been working on trying to make that deal happen. “But I’m told De Gea is in their thoughts and if they can find a way to structure a deal they may go for that too, realising that either this summer or next summer the player is likely to move and this will be the opportunity to take him.”
