OFFICIAL: Ndidi, Iheanacho Back In Premier League With Leicester

Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and their Leicester City teammates have secured automatic promotion to the Premier League for the 2024/25 season after a one-year absence.

Leicester’s place in next season’s top flight was confirmed on Friday night, following Leeds United’s 4-0 defeat by Queens Park Rangers.

It is a first-time return to the Premier League for Leicester, having been relegated in 2022/23.

They have now earned promotion to the Premier League five times, a joint-record along with Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion.

Leeds, who were relegated with Leicester last season, now have to hope that nearest rivals Ipswich Town slip up in the fight for the second automatic promotion place.

Southampton have a mathematical chance also to seal an immediate return but it is remote.

The 2024/25 season will be the Foxes’ 18th in the Premier League.

Their highest finish came in 2015/16, when they won the Premier League title, finishing 10 points clear under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri.

Congrats guys, but its more likely that the duo of Iheanacho & Ndidi would be leaving the club by next season.
