Another junk news. He said nobody contacted him.

    • Obviously the wish of CSN. They’ve been trying to push this ridiculous news, only they are reporting, without success.

They don’t like the authentic rumors they’re getting so they don’t want to report. But they can report a baseless one – twice now.

Amuneke is our Coach, everyone should be ready for that

  • Amuneke is by far the best candidate. With him Nigeria will win the world cup and Afcon easy.

    • You no have brain she be he win world cup and afcon for Tanzania , brainless idiots whe no go check profile before them start speeting and barking

    • Nbuko, what if Nigeria fail to qualify for the World Cup with Amunike. Will you blame nff or Amunike or yourself and others that believe in Amunike?

Bad market. Paseiro have debunked the news. Apart from that, we don’t need him because he’s not good enough to coach the Super Eagles.

Amunike is what we need for now. Let’s win or fail with our own.

Let’s Paseiro apply for a job somewhere in Africa.

On behalf of we patriotic Nigerians, I declare Amunike as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

Congratulations to Amunike. He deserves to be the next coach of the Super Eagles.

Let’s support him. Some group of people here that still want a foreign coach, please your time will come. Maybe after two years if our own fail to impress us then we can consider a foreign coach.

But for now, let’s work together to make our team better. NFF and sports minister can see that we are powerful than what
they think we are. Once again, congratulations to Amunike. Go and make
history with Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

The last time you make this statement we failed to qualify for World Cup

      God bless you bro

This has got to be the worst football administration in history.
Their style is so stale so archaic and uninspiring.

Please , let’s stop this tribalistic coloration disguised as the “best,” Amunike for all intent and purpose is not the best local coach we have.
I dare say, Samson Siasia as Clemens Westerhof has opined and Sunday Oliseh, though controversial has a better knowledge of football than Amunike, success at U-17 can not be the bases for deciding how good a coach is for Super Eagles.

Let’s be frank what are Amunike achievements at senior level in all the places he has coached?
All these noise of being the best the since slice bread comes from lack of sincerity and objectivity?

Yes, he qualified Tanzania to their first AFCON in 20 years but aside from that what else?
Are we even serious as a people.
      Sentiments too full our body.
Look at Algeria the moment they noticed Belmadi was a spent force they quickly replaced him with Petrovic and you can see they are getting on with their football.

The problem with Nigeria is politics , Ibrahim Gusau the NFF President may mean well, but his administration is not covering itself in glory.
If Nigeria faila to qualify for 2026 WC he will not be forgiven.

Those pushing a brainless and jobless Amunike on the NFF are doing the worst disservice to Nigerian football.

    • Doomzday 1 week ago

Leave them, their eye will clear when we flop at AFCON and fail to qualify for world Cup.
And with Amuneke and Finidi in charge we are going to regret it , HARD!

    • Papa 1 week ago

      Very true

  • Professor 1 week ago

To the “jobless”, “brainless”, and “serial failure” crew…

    From Wiki…

    Reocín (youth)
    2008 Al Hazm (assistant)
    2008–2009 Julius Berger
    2009–2011 Ocean Boys
    2014–2017 Nigeria U17
    2017–2018 Al Khartoum
    2018–2019 Tanzania
    2020 Misr Lel Makkasa
    2021–2022 Nigeria (assistant)
    2022 Zanaco
    2022–2023 Zanaco (consultant)
    2024- Nigeria

Perhaps someone can kindly point out the gap (or “joblessness”) in his working career up above.

None of their favorite “better” local coaches has stepped out of Nigeria to coach or won any trophy.

The funny thing is that NFF has given up on hiring a foreign coach and is stuck with Amuneke and Finidi.

Apart from under 17, can you please highlight his success in the above mention places, then you score him yourself

  • Abbey 1 week ago

I hate the people running our football in Nigeria. We may not qualify for the 2026 world cup with this stupid indecision on the right coach for Super Eagles. This is seriously becoming annoying. Haha! Mad sets of people running NFF.

  • Abbey 1 week ago

Please stop spreading fake news! Paseiro said no one contacted him regarding the Super Eagles coaching job.

  • Chukk 1 week ago

going back to your vomit is the worse decision anyone can made.its shows those running our football are knuckle heads, the confused, and the fools

  • So many of us here will hide our face and deny Amunike if he fail to qualify Super eagles to the World Cup. I don’t see Amunike as a good coach. Let’s forget about un 17. This is senior national team.

  • Please Who is this NBUKO for I’m not the one that make the above comment or someone is using my identity

  • Apoint Amunike and forget the world cup. Jobless coach can’t do you any good.
