Angelique Kerber would love to complete a career Grand Slam at the French Open but is trying not to put extra pressure on herself.
Kerber landed the Wimbledon crown last summer to become a three-time major champion, as the German claimed both the Australian and US Open titles in 2016.
The 31-year-old will also reclaim top spot in the WTA rankings if she lands the trophy at Roland Garros but Kerber says she is not thinking too far ahead and will try and focus on each match as it comes. “In the end, every tournament is a different experience, and you have the two weeks to get through and it’s a big challenge in Paris, so I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself,” she told wtatennis.com.

“If I had the chance to complete the career Grand Slam, that would be amazing, but I’m not thinking about this right now, as it’s still a long way off.
You have to win the first round, and then keep going through the draw, before you think about it too much.” She added: “I’m not going to put big pressure on myself in Paris to complete the career Grand Slam.”
