Turkey Fantasy — Tips for Gameweek 13
The last fortnite of the year is going to be crazy, with 3 gameweeks in less than 15 days. Here are some gems for that period.
Below you’ll find the crème de la crème of this week’s fantasy studs, provided to you by the masterminds behind Fantezi Futbol Türkiye.
Adam Bareiro (Alanyaspor, Forward)
Following his consecutive harsh fouls to Beşiktaş’s left defender Rıdvan Yılmaz, Alanyaspor’s forward Khouma Babacar was sent off in Beşiktaş game and is suspended against Denizlispor. So the opportunity that Adam Bareiro was expecting since Babacar began to play in starting elevens has come true. 24 years old forward is now the prior option for coach Çağdaş Atan for the next game. After his brave decision to play somewhere outside American continent, Paraguayan player joined Alanyaspor and made significant debut by scoring 3 goals in first 4 games. However, his performance decreased in the following weeks and his coach decided to replace him with Babacar for the starting eleven. We expect him to use this opportunity positively by the help of his effective team-mates Bakasetas and Davidson.

Adem Büyük (Yeni Malatyaspor, Midfielder)
During the first 12 weeks of the season, goals scored by penalty kicks are 13% of the totals goals scored in Turkish Süper Lig. We should mention that there were also 13 unsuccessful penalty kicks taken. Taking the high percentage of penalty decisions by the referees into consideration, we understand that predicting the penalty takers of all teams is significantly important for fantasy football game. One of the important penalty takers of Süper Lig is Adem Büyük. He is topping the penalty kick goalscorers ranking table together with Radamel Falcao and Vincent Aboubakar as of 12th week of the season. (3 penalty goals) In his entire career, Adem Büyük scored 13 out of 15 penalty kicks. He has also scored 35% of all his team’s goals this season. He will be a top pick for this week against Kasımpaşa.

Rachid Ghezzal (Beşiktaş, Midfielder)
When Beşiktaş won the title in 2015–2016 season in Turkey, an Algerian player made his mark in France while his team Olympique Lyon was runner-up. This player was Rachid Ghezzal and he had 10 goals & 9 assists in 38 games. After his Lyon career, he played for Monaco, Leicester and Fiorentina in last 5 years. During this 5 years, he has never made the same performance as he had in his Lyon career. But since joining Beşiktaş, he has showing signs of his performance in his Lyon years. He is accepted as one of the most talented players in Süper Lig this season. He is taking all the set pieces except of the penalty kicks in Beşiktaş. This week, he is expected to be one of the top pick players against Erzurumspor.
Key Stats: (per game): Crosses: 2.6 / Shots: 1.69 / Key Passes: 2.6
Vitor Hugo (Trabzonspor, Defender)
During 3 years since he joined Fiorentina from Palmeiras for 8 million euros, Vitor Hugo couldn’t meet the expectations. He joined Trabzonspor at the start of this season and now he is playing in Süper Lig. After Abdullah Avcı was appointed as the coach of Trabzonspor, he earned 3 clean sheets in last 4 games by the help of Avcı’s defensive style of play. Although he couldn’t score in any Süper league games so far, he scored 2 goals on Wednesday’s cup game. Trabzonspor will play against Rizespor at home this week. Rizespor has not been performing well on away games. So, Vitor Hugo is now again a strong candidate for clean sheet points.

Papy Djilobodji (Gaziantep FK, Defender)

He became one of the most favourite players of fantasy football fans with his performance and scoring contribution although he is a defender. He made a significant performance with 6 goals, 2 assists and 5 clean sheets in 2019–2020 season. He is one of the key players in dead-ball situations. Gaziantep FK has not been losing for 10 games so far this season. Although they are playing against a strong opponent, he could be a surprise pick of this week.

Recommended Teams for Player Picks
Erzurumspor couldn’t stop the bad results although they replaced their coach Mehmet Özdilek with Hüseyin Cimşir. The team is currently at the 19th rank on the table and not showing any signs for a possible turnaround in a short term. Considering their current situation of Erzurumspor, Beşiktaş is very close to an easy win against them. Starting from Vincent Aboubakar, Bernard Mensah, Rachid Ghezzal and Atiba Hutchinson might be possible picks for this week.
Alanyaspor is topping the table while they are the most goalscorer and least goals conceded team in Süper Lig after 12 weeks. After their two losses in 4 days last week, they re-gained trust from their supporters by their win against Beşiktaş game. They will play against Denizlispor, who are the most goals conceded team in the league. League leader is expected to win easily this week. Davidson, Bakasetas, Caulker, Bareiro and Marafona are possible top picks of the GW13.
