2019 U-20 W/Cup: Senegal Set Tone For Africa’s Success With Massive Win Vs Tahiti: Hosts Poland Start On Losing Note

Senegal flagged off their FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament on a brilliant note thrashing Tahiti 3-0 at Lublin Stadium on Thursday reports Completesports.com.
Amadou Sagna scored a hat trick to send the Young Teranga Lions top of group A.
Sagna scored the tournaments first goal after 9.6 seconds – the fastest goal in the history of the competition.
The 19 year old Sagna made it 2-0 in the 30th minute before completing his hat trick ten minutes before the hour mark.
In the other group A game Colombia beat hosts, Poland 2-0 in Lodz.
Ivan Angulo opened the scoring for Colombia in the 23rd minute, capitalising on an errant pass from Sebastian Walukiewicz.
Luis Sandoval secured the points in the bag for Colombia at the death of the game.
Senegal will next face Colombia on 26 May, while Tahiti take on Poland that same day.
In group B, Italy got their campaign off to a flying start thanks to an impressive, quick opening goal scored by Davide Frattesi.

Also in the group, South American champions Ecuador played out a 1-1 draw with Japan in Bydgoszcz.

Ecuador took the lead right before half-time, albeit rather fortuitously. From a free-kick, Japan goalkeeper Tomoya Wakahara punched his clearance directly into team-mate Kyosuke Tagawa’s face and the ball ricocheted into the goal.

However, Japan fought their way back into the game through Kota Yamada who equalised in the 68th minute,l for the Samurai Blue steering his shot home from close range after Ecuador keeper Moises Ramirez failed to clear his lines.

Japan will face Mexico in Gdynia next on 26 May, while Ecuador will stay in Bydgoszcz and play Group B leaders Italy on the same day.
