Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa says he’s delighted with the invitation of Enyimba goalkeeper, John Noble to the senior national team that will face the Squirrels of Benin and Crocodile of Lesotho in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Noble got the attention of Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr as a result of his sterling performance for Enyimba in the Caf club competition and also in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
He’s the only NPFL player named in the 24-man squad by Rohr for the games against Benin on March 27 and Lesotho on March 30.
However, reactimg to Noble’s invitation, Nzenwa told Brila.net that he deserved to be invited to the Super Eagles and that he would do his best to reclaim his position back.
“That is one thing Football is all about first of all I wish John Noble all the best in the National team, it’s fun to be there. I’ve always done my best representing the NPFL players in the national team and I’ve always done my best when called upon in between the sticks for the national team. Football sometimes you have some challenges that’s why it’s up and down, and I believe one thing in myself that I will be back.”
