2022 W/Cup Playoff: Ghana Will Be Difficult, But Super Eagles Will Scale Through- Agu

Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu is confident the team will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar even as he admitted that their opponent Ghana will be a tough nut to crack, reports Completesports.com.

The two eternal rivals will fight for a place in the mundial next month.

Ghana had a poor outing at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations exiting the competition in the first round.

The Super Eagles made it to the second round losing 1-0 to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

Agu believes the three-time African champions have what it takes to secure a place in Qatar 2022.

“Ghana have a formidable squad and will be a tough nut to crack for us, but we have the quality to beat them,”Agu told Completesports.com.

“We are confident of qualifying for the World Cup and will do everything possible to achieve our objective.

“There’s quality in our team and we will work hard to make it to Qatar 2022.”

Exactly my thoughts. Alloy Agu was a basket in his time with the eagles no wonder he has no eyes for discovering a good goalkeeper. We have never had it this bad in our goalkeeping department. The whole technical team needs a complete overhaul same goes for the crooks in the glass house starting from that babalawo bearded looking pinnick and his cohorts should shamefully resign. They have failed. I am disgusted by pinnick one man business. Under 17 failure, under 20, 23 all have failed under pinnick yet he gallivants around. No league under his reigns. Please high time that man is hashtagged on all platforms. He must go and stop running Nigerian football like his private affair

    • Can someone remind me the rule for the play off again . Is there away goal rule or not . Or wil there be a penalty after a draw on aggregate. Or winner takes all….this is wat the coach and boys shud no 1st. Wat are the rules . ..

Horrible officiating in the Senegal vs Cape Verde match 2 red cards the second being the worse….Two players collide what the hell did he expect the goalkeeper to do? Catch the ball with his hands outside the 18??? Dude used his head and had a head on collision with Mane and he gets a red card…..Africa has to do better they definitely won it for pathetic senegal who couldn’t break the Cape Verdeans even when they were no laying with 10…

Aloy Agu you are talking Rubbish what are still doing in Super Eagles you are just killing and weasting your time your tenor is over

Why can’t you win Tunisia now you came here starting telling us that DE will scare through

Why you did not scare through against Tunisia ????

  • Is clear the francophone is playing politics they want to eliminate other colony like English and Portuguese countries, is sad

With okoye manning the our goal post? I think you should be sacked before the match in march.

  • The French is behind this nonsense going on in Africa, so they brought that Senegalese refere to set out Nigeria what a shame to caf just look at cameroon vs Comoros cape verde vs Senegal Nigeria vs Tunisia, shame on them the French is using Samuel eto for this shit

Francophone controls CAF… Most of the local referees are from francophone countries… People think football politics started today. We could call this Nations Cup VAR nations cup… When watch how referee disallowed Henry Nwosu goal against in Nig vs Cam in Maroc 88 you will know football politics is not today… How can a Senegalese Referee Officiate Nigeria vs Tunisia with Senegal a like opponent on the direct path of both teams?

      *Senegal a likely opponent…

There are intricacies in African football that people tend to ignore. I am not blaming the ref for our loss but bad calls can really frustrate a tactically outclassed side…
We all saw how frustrated Ndidi was with the ref but still the no 1 issue was that Eguavoen got his tactics wrong….if he got it right there won’t be room for devious elements like the ref to take advantage of certain situations like Iwobi’s red card. A francophone speaking country will definitely win this cup. Senegal will have the fight if their lives in q final as they have been very unimpressive with the caliber of players they have….While Cameroon has an uphill task playing against the dark horse of this tournament which is Gambia..let’s see how they cheat their way again.

But what did our football authorities do?They always accept their fate even during most qualifications when corrupt referees comes hard on us the Nff would just let go like nothing happened.
      It’s a shame indeed.
Nigeria is a big football country we should be the ones favoured not the other way round,we should be in the forefront of decision making with regards to football as a heavyweight sadly our Nff are just lightweight and soft so so bad!

We have and have always had horrible leaders at the helmets of our football affairs. Right now we have Mr Showtime/Mango head who always wants to be in the spotlight and on camera. He holds an office in Fida but is as useless as anything. Amos Adamu even tho corrupt was more stronger administratively than this blockhead. Francophone countries run this shit and couples with a South African who is bent on lifting the Southern African football standards by any means neccessary… What continent has regional qualifiers for age group and other football tournaments? That is what Motsepe has started…..They are bringing their xenophobic characters to the forefront of African football.

          • I agreed that alloy agu should step down cus of his inability to find a good Keeper and at the same time want to let some of you know that we don’t have better than okoye for now maybe a good Keeper trainer Can bring the best out of him.

  • I think the editor of this paper needs to be jailed not just sacked. How complete sports allows low life’s to make very horrible comments here daily beats me.
People who can’t even write correct sentences will come here using derogatory words and expletives.
Some of you even go ahead to treatment our players and coaches even rain curses on individuals who dare to have different opinions to you.
I don’t blame you for being base and small minded, I blame a ramshackle organisation like csn who offered you this worthless platform to exhibit your folly.
Football like every other sport is just a game. You win some and lose some. Its about time some of you should be tracked via your url and made to pay darkly for some of the nonsense you write online.
    Jeez!

2 AFCONs now and we have exited because of goal keepers ‘ably scouted and trained’by alloy Agu.First it was Akpeyi and now okoye.Alloy Agu welldone

          • Moses Inyang 2 years ago

With Alloy Agu as our goalkeeper trainer the future is very bleak.I don’t see us producing people like Enyeama,Rufai etc in a millenium

  • These players are all we have at the moment and they are very useful to the team. I feel eguavoen didn’t get his tactics and players selection right in some games. For example chukwueze had a bad tournament even though he scored a goal. He shouldn’t have started some games.
I hope we can build on these players and make proper use of them. Especially with some established players making their comeback to the team.
