2022 W/Cup Qualifiers Draw: Eagles Avoid Ghana, Cameroun, Senegal, Algeria Groups

2022 W/Cup Qualifiers Draw: Eagles Avoid Ghana, Cameroun, Senegal, Algeria Groups

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have retained their position as the 3rd highest African side in the FIFA world rankings, making them a pot 1 team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers draw in January, Completesports.com reports

With no international breaks since the last update, there has been little in the way of change for the Super Eagles and others in the FIFA Rankings monthly update.

Despite this, the ranking still holds a lot of weight for African teams as the current installment is what will be used to determine the pots for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Super Eagles will thus avoid such other African heavyweights as Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and bitterest rivals, Ghana and Cameroon.

  • We need to avoid CIV and Madagascar in pot 2 and 3. Though we fear no foe!

Qualifying Nigeria to the next world cup is not a problem for oga Rohr but what but doing doing very well at the mundial is a big deal.

I can assure anyone that by God’s grace, Nigeria will qualify under coach Rohr.

We saw what happened in Russia and same story in Egypt.

NFF should find solution to the problem. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

    Worst case scenario Nigeria,CIV,Madagascar, Togo

    Best case scenario
    Nigeria, Capeverde, Namibia, Djibouti.

In any case, bring em on….we fear no foe. We’ll be through to d final rounds by matchday 4 as usual (all things remaining constant)

    • Only if your employer will be technical enough and with right substitution then we can say we fear no foe

You are right sir. Some people are dreaming in kuku land.

Since when have Madagascar become a threat to the Super Eagles? They defeated Nigeria last time simply because the Super Eagles underrated them. Bring them on anytime and they get the thrashing of their lives.

Abeg Bro tell them. I’m even wishing we can get Madagascar again and this time it won’t be pretty for them. The game in Egypt was an abnormality.

The teams we “avoided”, I’m sure they are also taking heavy breaths of relief that they avoided us. Playing Nigeria nowadays is not something many teams wish for. With Rohr at the helm, things are looking good for us. We should take each match as it comes with all seriousness, and qualify without any need for calculators. Then, we have to go to the world cup and take care of business.

      On point @pompei. Well said

    • You nailed it in the head. Guarded optimism, while seeking for improvement in all departments of the game.

I’ve already donated my SuperEagles Calculator to my village primary school, courtesy of Rohr.

To qualify is not the problem but at the world cup proper, selecting good players that will represent us is always the case.anyway come rain come shine the Super Eagles will definitely scale true am sure of that.
