2022 WAFCON: Eto’o In Morocco To Show Support For Cameroon Against Super Falcons

Legendary Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o has arrived Morocco to drum support for his country’s women’s national team, ahead of their quarter-final clash with Super Falcons of Nigeria today (Thursday).

The Indomitable Lionesses will be hoping to secure a third World Cup ticket when they face the Falcons.

At their previous two appearances at the 2015 and 2019 editions, the Lionesses got to the round of 16.

For the Falcons, they will be eyeing a ninth appearance since making their debut at the maiden edition in 1991.

The Falcons recovered from a 2-1 loss to South Africa and recorded wins against debutants Botswana (2-0) and Burundi (4-0) in Group C to qualify for the quarter-finals.

And for the Cameroonians, they drew their two opening games against Zambia (0-0), Togo (1-1) before defeating Tunisia 2-0.

And looking ahead to the big clash in Casablanca, Eto’o expressed his delight to be in Morocco to support the Lionesses.

He wrote on Twitter:“Let’s go Lionesses 🙌🏿 🇨🇲 It’s a real privilege to see our mighty teams thrive in not one but two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments this year. Great to be in Morocco to support the @LionnesIndompt1 at tonight’s quarter final.“

In Wednesday’s quarter-finals, Zambia and hosts Morocco qualified for next year’s women’s World Cup, their first ever appearance.

The Zambians edge Senegal on penalties while Morocco beat Botswana 2-1.

There is nothing special in what Etoo did. Pinnick has been in Morrocco since the tournament began.

Pinick has been in Morocco Papafem was right.
Contrary to bad impressions against Pinick I think he has done well.Had Dare not intervened unnecessarily in his work,Rohr would still be at the helms and I’m sure Rohr would have beaten Ghana in Accra with his famous away 3.5.2 formation and scrapped through in Abuja.
Pinnick is a sound administrator I will score him 7/10,Dare 0.5/10

Okocha or Ikpeba should be responding to Eto’s vibes, pinnick too big. In essence, what time is the match?

Pinnick run to morroco to avoid politics going on in nija …. Anyway eto must enter the field today to play the game … Probably he wil score 2 goals to take the game to penalty.. but his ladies can’t score theirs to win …. With eto still in the penalty line up falcon wil score all
