Black Stars of Ghana are set to be without Jordan Ayew for the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs with Nigeria, after the Crystal Palace striker tested positive for coronavirus, according to ghanaweb.com.
Ayew was left out of Palace‘s squad in Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final game against Everton at Selhurst Park.
The 30-year-old was initially named in the Palace squad, but was dropped after tests confirmed he was positive.

The period of time an individual must spend in self-isolation varies, but, per NHS, Premier League players are expected to self isolate for 10 days.
However, it is possible for an individual to come out of self-isolation after five days, provided they have two negative lateral flow tests, 24 hours apart.
The stipulated date however means Ayew is likely to miss the two legged ties with the Super Eagles.
Following the latest setback, Black Stars will now be without the Ayew brothers for the crucial games after Andre Ayew was ruled out due to suspension.

Now they are left with no striker
Felix Ayan Gyan, will be their only option in the middle, he is still young and naive, and he doesn’t have any experience of national football before. Ghana to lose home and away
Let us respect our opponent please.
Our big short is overweening.Being Swell headed leads to complacency which could also lead to failure.
Mind you Ghana is a football nation with a large pool even domestically,so not yet Uhuru bruv.
They’ve got Semenyo too!
Well good news for the Ghanaian fans because dude is like the Nigerian version of Musa.
He kept shooting blank for the black stars but gets regular invitation to the amazement of all.
The difference between him and Musa is while he plays regularly for a decent club in the premiership,Musa struggles for a mid-table Turkish team.
For using Musa as a joke, Greenturf you just lost the respect I have for you
Sorry @MONKEY POST,my friend,I wasn’t messing around with Musa rather was sincere.
I don’t see need being economical with the truth.
Musa is a respected captain of the super eagles much loved by fans but he’s beginning to lose that respect by staying put when he has nothing more to offer and your continuous clamour for a player who offers little or nothing on the pitch is worrying if I must be honest,I can’t understand the rationale behind such unprofitable support.
Normally you start losing support and respect even outside football when you overstayed your welcome.
Somebody is lacking game time in his club and you just concluded that he has nothing to offer.
Even the last Afcon he was only featured once as sub. And besides the motivation and inspiration he brings to the team as a leader off the pitch can’t be overemphasize!
And you say he has nothing to offer..SMH..
LMFAO! How is this a blow?
When even if you ask GOOGLE the last time HE scored, GOOGLE will say RESULT NOT FOUND!
LMFAO!!
I told you guys last week that there is no smiling “emoji” in the Ghana camp… That’s one of the reasons they haven’t published their invited players till date.
Several Ghanaian players are going to miss this match owing to different reasons…the list below:
1. Andre Dede Ayew (suspension)
2. Jordan Ayew…..(covid19)
3. Kamaldeen Sulaimana(injury)
4. Baba Rahman……..(injury)
5. Antoine Semenyo….(injury)
6. Benjamin Tetteh..(suspension)
Ghana go confirm am say I get am before no be property…
He was never a threat
Jordan Ayew’s absence is not a blow for the Black Stars. He has not scored a goal in 3 years, aand had become excess luggage to any teambhe plays in.
