2022 WCQ: Rohr’s 24-Man List Must Be Respected – Udeze

2022 WCQ: Rohr’s 24-Man List Must Be Respected – Udeze

Former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze says the 24-man list released by Gernot Rohr for this month’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde must be respected.

On Monday, the names of invited players for the crucial fixtures was unveiled with the main talking point being the inclusion of Al Shabab striker Odion Ighalo.

The former Manchester United striker retired from international football after 2019 AFCON in Egypt where he emerged the top scorer.

However, Union Berlin forward Taiwo Awoniyi, who made his debut against Central African Republic in Lagos was left out.

Making a return to the team are Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.

And reacting to the list, Udeze said Rohr’s choice of players must be respected.

“Let’s respect Gernot Rohr’s list,” the 2002 World Cup star said in Wednesday’s edition of the Breakfast Show on Brila FM.

“If anything goes wrong Rohr will be held responsible. But for now the list must be respected.”

Exactly my comment on Ikpeba yesterday’s submission. Nigerians have no option than to move with Rohr for the interest our interest. However, it isn’t news that the the coach bears the brunt in any situation. It is the norm. We have accepted to wholeheartedly give it to Rohr and Yusuf to steady the SE.

Chat me on WhatsApp to get games for pay after winning. My game comes on weekend basis Saturdays and Sundays precisely and occasionally during week days. The is usually between 2.40 odd to 3.50 odd. Proofs of previous winnings are available for verification. A trial will definitely convince you. 09090498231

@ Udeze, please winning our next game to me must never be used as determinant of haven done well. Not even winning the nations Cup or getting far in the World Cup, but must also be hinged on being amongst Africa’s best two for a cycle of atleast 5 years, failing wish, not only Rohr should be blamed, but also many of you ex internationals whose continuous unwarranted critisms opened the door for criminals in power/NFF to finally lay their filthy, strangle hold on Rohr/SE, and also, each and every member of this present NFF board MUST BE DECLARED MONUMENTAL FAILURES N MADE TO NEVER EVER HOLD ANY POSITION IN NIGERIA’S FOOTBALL MATTERS.

When you have a corrupt decaying system/structure, publicly criticising someone trying to do the right thing, only helps the bulldog criminals gain access. Reason most of us Rohr supporters tried never to criticize him on public forum, despite knowing he has his short comings.

Now, looking at the way things are with the SE presently, it will only take a miracle for us to win anything despite having what I will term, a blessed generation of players. What it makes it even more sad, is sacking Rohr n bringing another will only amount to going over same process again and arriving same place, a sacked Rohr may have left the team or even worse. Why ? Because the fat ugly headed criminals parading themselves as football administrators / politicians are still going to be lurking around the team, with their agents; the media, selfish fans, football agents/scout etc ever ready to sell their birth rights for plate of porridge.

Let’s continue to support and pray for Coach Rohr and his enviable team. Otherwise, it’s looking as if we are still crying over spilt milk. It’s well.

      • SAD CASE OF BEING A NIGERIAN SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN ALIVE IS THERE ANY DECADE WHERE YOU HAVE NOT CRIED OVER ONE SPILT MILK OR ANOTHER???..

THE QUESTION I AM ASKING YOU IS THIS. IS IT WRONG THAT SOME OF US WITH A HEAD ON OUR SHOULDERS ARE TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!. DID WE NOT VOW THAT AFTER KESHI TENURE AND WHEN AMOKACHI EXPOSED THE SHIP THAT WE WILL NEVER ALOW SUCH TO HAPPEN AGAIN?

MY OTHER QUESTIOIN TO YOU @MERCY ARE YOU A CARPET THAT CORRUPT POLITICIANS MUST WALK OVER LIKE TRASH. OR WILL YOU JUST BE HERE AND TAKE THIS NONSENSE AND KEEP CALLING IT SPILT MILK AND LOOK THE OTHER WAY. WHAT KIND OF CHARACHTER ARE YOU THE TYP OF @DR DREY AND @OSIDION THAT WILL JUST ALLOW SHIT TRAMPLE ON YOU FOR DECADES AND NOT VOICE IT. RATHER JUST FOOL YOURSELF AND START BACKING CRIMINALS. BROS OR SISTA ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion Rohr has selected the best legs we have because he knows the importance of this games and the results will determine his stay in the team and I know Rohr loves the super eagles and he wants to keep his job,so the result of this two games is crucial and he wants that victory more than anyone of us and won’t shoot himself in the foot assembling players that will not guarantee him and the country success.
This team is not lacking in experience neither in youthfulness. The best team a country has does not necessarily become champions because other teams too are presenting there best. But it’s important to select your best to give you optimum opportunity for glory, and Rohr has done just that, whether our best will guarantee cup success in Cameroon as well qualify for the world cup is yet to be known.
Obviously,no matter the team the gaffer comes up with people must have divided opinion but he’s in the helms for a reason,he’s the coach and a professional for a reason. We are talking of someone that has played and coached at the highest level someone that knows and seen this players at close range. We have to trust his judgement because he’s the professional here and not us.The players he put together are the best legs we have in the country we should support him and stop hurting unnecessarily.
When a country is blessed with numerous quality players selection will always have divided opinion but end of the days it’s the coaches choice that counts and I’m sure we will have the results we need to qualify.
That’s what matters, other players especially the greenhorns can have a chance in the pre Afcon camping.

      • The best legs we have is not Musa, Ighalo and Shehu. so your whole comment is OFF and, makes no SENSE!!

      • GLORY 2 years ago

@ Greenturf, the disatisfaction with the present state of things, isn’t about players invited but the obvious absence of any progressive process, like in a manufacturing company. There, we have, set out processes leading to a final target; the product but with the way things are now with SE, I honestly can see any process/program to mill out the desired product. This is what is causing the tidal waves of negative emotions and not really about Ighalo or any other strange player’s invitation. AND THE ONLY REASONS THIS CAN HAPPEN IS WHEN EXTERNAL FORCES STARTS INTERFERING, WHEN THERE ARE NO STRUCTURE IN PLACES, NO PROGRAM OF ACTION ETC. THESE ALL POINT TO ONE PLACE; THE NFF AND THE POWER THAT BE.

  • GLORY 2 years ago

@ Mercy if you read in between the lines of Udeze’s n Amokachi’s comments, you will understand, that these and all those behind the scene are only now just waiting for the ship to finally capsize, just they can start all over again to decieve all into pointing accusing finger to Rohr only; when it’s very glaring to all that the EVIL power that be haven’t really given him, the free hand/support to do his job.

Sad as it is, Rohr will surely not be spared should the team fail to perform but for me, MAJORITY OF THE BLAME MUST GO TO NFF MEMBERS/THOSE DIRTY DIMWITS PARADING THEMSELVES IN THE CORRIDOR OF POWER. And also everyone who pre-meditatedly and selfishly criticize Rohr/SE instead of rendering support, which has now given room for those criminals to usurp the position originally meant for the team’s manager; Rohr himself.

I can’t be deceived to only blame Rohr should this team fail. Ighalo or no Ighalo, I still and will always support Rohr because I truly n truly understand the Nigerian mentality/ Nigeria terrain in dept. It only hurts to see Nigeria forever going in circles n never seem to wanna move forward because of some BRAIN DEAD INDIVIDUAL WHO STOLE THEIR WAY TO POSITION OF POWER. GOD BLESS ALL DESERVING SE PLAYERS, GOD BLESS ALL DESERVING COACHING MEMBERS AND GOD NIGERIA.

    • Mercy 2 years ago

My comment still the same as the first. The list is almost 3days old. No amount of noise can change it. Nigerians are already waiting for the lineup. I know how much you are pained but try and be calm, you will be better, only believe.

  • Ugo Iwunze 2 years ago

Udeze I am not surprised by his deceitful and Distasteful Comment is it not the same Udeze who is always Clamouring for Home Based Players to prosecute games I AM NOT SURPRISED BY HIS COMMENTS. “The are Corrupt but, you have No choice just accept it”. What does he know SMH!!!!!!, a basket in his playing days. what a loud of rubbish.

So everytime we should wait four years to try again. Why everytime when World cup is near this nonsense keeps happening?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

“If anything goes wrong Rohr will be held responsible. But for now the list must be respected.” this is the best quote I have read that has to do with Ighalo invitation.

Sometimes, I wonder why people love to make issues out of no issue. Genort Rohr is still the alpha and omega of the super eagles. He has responsibilities here. If he thinks inviting the likes of KANU, Finidi, Okocha or even Late Yekini will give him the result let him invite them, if he fails we will hold him responsible and if he wins we congratulate him. That’s it.

After all Dennis, Awoniyi, Moffi that you guys are glamouring for had their chances at one time or the other but they failed to grab it. We should allow the coach to make use his tested and trusted legs Abeg.

    • Yomi Ehineren 2 years ago

Guys, any update on the lineup yet?

    • @Tancosport just focus on your Ighalo and Leave our Awoniyi and Dennis alone. Have their chances look at that statemenent. it is thier time so where is this chances you are talking about. the last time I checked Ighalo is the one who had is chances and sisnt take us to the heights we needed here are boys. showing that they have the potential to take us to that level we need to be not being giving their chance, and you are opening your mouth to openly lie and say they have their chances, did I miss something or is this not a chance to prove himself??

when they are clearly being deprived of that chances you are talking about INFRONT OF OUR EYES. IS THERE A MORE SINICAL CONMMENT THAN THE ONE YOU HAVE JUST MADE?, IF SO I AM ALL EARS., MAY GOD HELP YOUR BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

YOU MEAN TRIED AND OUTDATED LEGS???????????????. GUY YOU KNOW WHAT SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!

          • Oakfield 2 years ago

Anuofia nwa nmuo. I said it, you’ve already begun running mad bcs of rohr and ighalo. This is just the beginning. On the Day that ighalo would eventually play after all your tree biting and scratching na suicide u go commit which would even be better as that would give eternal rest to a useless good for nothing idiot. Ewu gambia.

    • Oakfield 2 years ago

Hope you don’t run mad bcs of rohr and ighalo.. If you like, whine like a swine and grawl like a hungry dog, it won’t change anything. Take it or leave it, We need experience in our forward line and this is exaclty what Ighalo brings to the table. The inclusion of the golden boot winner at the last afcon and the golden boot winner of the last qualifiers is a perfect gamble that would yield positive results. Hope you guys would be around when it (the positive results) would start trickling in. U do not know these players more the coach does. So, pls save urself the madness, keep quiet and enjoy the smooth ride. I know say if u were the coach, u would’ve invited even ur ancestors to come and play.

      • I know they are reading this. @Oakfield I have all day they will not hear the end. Thier MAMA dier PAPA!!! all of them can go to hell!!! including you and Ighalo BASTARD WHERE DID YOU CRAWL OUT FROM!!!! THE DEAD!!!!!!

        • Oakfield 2 years ago

Who are the “they ” that would spare their precious time to read ur junk? It’s only a useless idiot like u that would waste his time to read ur junk.

  • @Tancosport just focus on your Ighalo and Leave our Awoniyi and Dennis alone. Have their chances look at that statement. it is their time so where is this chances you are talking about. the last time I checked Ighalo is the one who had is chances and did not take us to the heights we needed to reach, World Cup 2018 never forget that NEVER IN YOUR LIFE FORGET THE CALAMITY IGHALO DID AGAINST ARGENTINA.

here are boys OSIMHEN, AWONIYI and DENNIS. showing that they have the potential to take us to that level we need to be, not being giving the chance and, you are opening your mouth to openly lie and say they have their chances, did I miss something or is this not a chance to prove himself??.

when, they are clearly being deprived of those chances you are claiming INFRONT OF OUR EYES. IS THERE A MORE SINICAL CONMMENT THAN THE ONE YOU HAVE JUST MADE?, IF SO I AM ALL EARS., MAY GOD HELP YOU BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

YOU MEAN TRIED AND OUTDATED LEGS???????????????. GUY YOU KNOW WHAT SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!

Great news he needs to rest this qualifiers Let Rohr use his Ighalo to prosecute these games. LET me tell you people there is no higher POWER than GOD!!!
if Pinnick knows what is good for him he will never mess with the hearts of millions. Osimhen will not be allowed to prosecute these games as Napoli want to wrapp him up in cotton for a full recovery.

If Rohr likes le him bring Anthony Ujah or Obafemi Martins as experienced legs or he can use sense and Cll Awoniyi so we fans can see them both slug it out like heavy weights. That one concern him. But God will not nt allow Rohr a easy ride to play with hearts.

Lets see Rohr from hence forth your bad decisions will expose you 1 by 1.

Osibobo! sit this one out, put you leg on ice while watching your 72 inc screen at home in beautiful Nepals, let them use their GOd Ighalo since they are claiming he is of better use than Awoniyi and Yourself.

GOD I LOVE YOU. You are tooo much!!!

Folks, any latest on the lineup yet?

  • Larry 2 years ago

Roar can not be exonerated from this insanity.Besides, he is the decision maker. He decides the criteria for players selection and he has made it clear times without number that only active and inform players will be invited to SE. Also, he raised the bar by going public about the significance of top 5 league players.
Then why drop regulars for players who have not featured for their clubsides in months and weeks. Why is SE best forward in the current EPL season not considered good for SE. It is only a demented and dumb coach that will drop a Bundesliga material and leading score in Europe for a retiree who could not rescue a team and was one of those responsible for our last losses in crucial stages of ANC and WC.
One of the most respectful and humble past leaders of SE (Mikel) gave a real evaluation of Roar, providing details about his poor game management, technical deficiency and how agents were trooping SE camp..
The spirit of those hardworking and deserving players who are wrongly denied their rights to SE will haunt Roar and his cohorts forever…
Dumbo Roar forgets that Nigerians have seen numerous movies like the one he, Picnick and Ighalo are currently acting..
