2022 World Cup: Ferdinand Faults Maguire’s Inclusion In England Squad

Former Manchester United and Premier League star, Rio Ferdinand has faulted the inclusion of Harry Maguire in Gareth Southgate’s final England squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ferdinand believes that Maguire does not deserve a place in the England squad for the World Cup going by his lack of playing time for Manchester United this season.

The England international has been used sparingly by Erik ten Hag this season, starting just three Premier League games this term.

“Maguire’s form has gone out the window for Man Utd. He’s not in the team, he’s got an injury as well,” Rio Ferdinand told his YouTube podcast.

“Going into a tournament, I couldn’t think of another worst-case scenario. I would be concerned about that.

“It could be blind trust, I don’t know. But he [Southgate] does trust him.”

Do you all know more than the coach, abeg leave the man, he chose his trusted hands. It is not only about the number of games you playing everyday, your ability also counts, ten hag might not know how to deploy maguire, but southgate can, so stop all this comparisons
