A relaxing and enjoyable game with three things in mind, good pitch, neutral ground and a weak opposition.
Good luck super eagles…
Moses Simon should stop taking set pieces, corner kicks, he has played over 70 kicks without a goal, If Lookman is not there, Alex should take it, he cant continue squandering chance on free kicks like that. Why is it that every single kick with the exception of goal kick, simon will always show up and balloon it. I have never seen him near set pieces in his club. Olisa Harold Ndah should be called up, we need him at our centre-back, we also need Yira Collins Sor, he is a better finisher than chukwueze…We need Taiwo Awoniyi in that team. Our defense line remain a suspect. I think the coaching crew should look for defenders in our NPL teams…There is no way we can not get players that are better than Ekong, Semi Ayayi, what happened to Kevin Akpoguma? why our coaching crews are no longer extending invitation to him? Our defense line have conceded a goal within 13 mins of each of our last four games, that is worrisome.
It is not about the players in the defence, it’s about the set up. There’s a lot of space in between the CBs. The coach has got to change his pattern to help fill up numbers in the midfield.
We don’t press hard enough thereby leaving space for our opponents to explore. We are laid back, only wakes up after conceding.
Don’t say Sor is better than Chukwueze until he comes in to prove himself
The defence players are the culprit, Ekong is out of it. Ajayi is not good enough. We need defenders from the NPFL. They are rugged and quicker with zeal to be recognised. Overall we need just two players. DM8 and D6.
Pesiero must make overhaul on defensive pattern of play for Super Eagles , because they have been lacking this trait since 94 generation who has ended; so this pattern must be on playiny with one combative and offensive or tow defensive midfielders just like Azubiuke Okechukwu or Usman Mohammed,Joel Obi or Nwankwo Obiora; on centre defence he must add Godfry Oboabona and Ozornwafor , on side back he must add Tyronne Ebuehi, Ehisibueh.
Hmmm…From Yira Sor is better than Chukwueze to Defenders from NPFL to dominate our darling Super Eagles defence the to these names..Azubuike Okechukwu, Joel Obi, Nwankwo Obiora,, Godfrey Oboabona and Ozomwafor.
Where are these people coming out from self?
Best back line we can try out now
Sanusi bassey ndah ola aina
Or
Bassey ozornwanfor ndah ebuehi
Or
Zaidu bassey ndah ebuehi
Or
Zaidu bassey ozornwanfor ndah(watch his debut for Nigeria)
Please lets stop underrating bassey’s play making ability from centre back, go and watch second leg of rangers vs braga highlights to confirm, i feel he will be very effective attacking wise playing in cd too, he could act as an extra midfielder sometimes while cover is provided for him at the back, he does not even need to bump forward, man can still affect the game with his passes from deep there. Imagine ndah and bassey spraying those passes from back there or starting the build up from back there, the ecstasy! If we truely want to dominate games, in the big boys way, neatly, our best pairing is ndah(mr calmness and very good passer, technical) and bassey (too technical for a defender). We need adebayo at the back of these guys, what he lacks in height, he makes up for in ball playing(increasing our attacking potential) and reflex . Pesiero needs to be bold and see things for what they are, we can’t have anything better than what i have just listed. Our current pairings are discouraging, especially when playing the high line, they easily get turned and dispatched by strong and fast strikers, no reflex, jittery, and weak, see what bakayoko did to ajayi.
The Super Eagles should play their home games in African countries that have better football pitches than that horrible and disgraceful ABUOLA stadium
